I would have liked Jeremy Doku to start today as he's been excellent in recent weeks.

Nico Gonzalez sitting on the bench again, Maybe Pep is reluctant to split up the double pivot of Kovacic and Bernardo.

One thing that's nailed on, Jack Grealish doesn't have a future at the club anymore.

Anyway, Come On City!!

We'll know if this is another brainfart by Pep or not in a couple of hours. I understand why he's done it. A chance for some players to prove their fitness and for the likes of Foden some form and maybe make a claim to start the final next week. Whatever side we put out should have enough for Southampton but we'll soon find out, fingers crossed.

Khusanov 2nd match in a row not even on the bench, Lewis starts again. Khusanov has been our MOTM in almost every match he has played in and as a reward he gets kicked out of the team for months.
He hasn’t been man of the match though has he?
He was appalling in the last game he played in against Bournemouth.

Gonzalez is becoming a concern ,hardly getting any minutes even has a sub .
Are we going down the phillips road again of a player who struggling to carry out the requirements he wants from a central midfielder .
I have personally been pleased with Gonzalez. For a new signing, he is promising. I am more concerned with Pep and his choices. Why is he not playing him? If he approved the signing, then why not? His lack of minutes is concerning. Pep is picking his favourites and not willing to give new players a chance. This will cost us long-term.

What was purpose of spending 50 mill on Nico? Anyone?
Pep things. Hopefully Pep doesn’t wait until the 80th again before his first switch if it’s still 0-0.
Gvardiol on the left and akanji in the middle with Lewis on the right. Why exactly are we switching up? I get the O’Reilly one but Lewis a RB is never going to work

Feel like Akanji coming in for O'Reilly was always on the cards once he was fit, regardless of the latter's form

Long term will be different, Pep is only concerned about the next 3 or 4 games.

I hope going back to the tried and tested and reintroducing Haaland works out.

Its been interesting that despite his goals I've wondered if we were better without him in the team and since his absence we've hit form again.
