Being honest it's a performance that's expected, We've been bobbins in recent weeks too but we are just getting over the line with wins.

Today will be the same, We'll win...Just.

Today has been pretty much the same as it has been for months for the next 3 weeks we just have to accept it.

We all looking forward to Wembley then?

I think in the attack, only Foden has played well.

Gvardiol and Lewis wide isba waste.

Haaland in the centre, just nothing going on, same with McAtee.

Dont really understand this, need loads of subs.
Not quite sure which game you're watching Wally, but I'm seeing nothing of any real note from Phil Foden ....

That was absolutely fucking dire. Had a feeling that it wouldn't be the walk in the park many were expecting, but that was a really poor 45 minutes. Get Doku and Marmoush on.
Sadly mate it’s not ‘not a walk in the park’ because of anything Southampton have done. I reckon Pep ball is just too easy to stop now everyone understands it…

When teams pack their defence like this it takes players that dribble to take one or two of them out of the game. Wouldn't be surprised by the addition or Doku and/or Savinho early in the second half.

They're parking the bus and Pep's lineup played right into their hands.

If the middle of the park — and especially the box — is being absolutely crowded, you need speedy wingers to get down the outside and cut back. There's no way through the middle. Sav and Doku on please. And if Erling is producing nothing, I wouldn't hesitate to put Marmoush on after about ten minutes of the second half or so.
Erling takes a little while to get up to it, not blaming him.

The right side is shite. Lewis and McAtee. Neither can take on a player, and neither is good enough a crossing to put it in the box instead. Lewis is best as an inverted full back when we have a proper winger on the pitch, and McAtee's strength is arriving in a position to score. And the left is just as bad. Basically Gvardiol by himself with no-one to play off.
So looking promising for a great second half?

When the Dips have been in games like this where they need the points, but can't break teams down they get a helping hand penalty. Seems like that rule doesn't extend to us....denied 2 by the sound of it.

Complete agenda to stop City getting top 5. Mind we aren't helping ourselves.
Could have been given, but wouldn't say they were stonewall penalties.

I think with credit in the bank with recents wins, Pep is trying again to make work the system that failed in Oct-Jan of this season
