This is delusional, fanciful, borderline fanatical..I don’t know if we’re still in the race or actively involved, but one thing’s clear — if Wirtz had turned us down, it would’ve already leaked.
We still have a real chance if we just step up and get more active.
Why are we not being mentioned anymore and why are we not in negotiations with Leverkusen?
This is literally the most important transfer for the future of the club — and we’re just sitting in silence while others make moves?
I know it won’t be.You just k ow our midfield for next seasons big games will be:
Gundogan Gibbs White
Post ACL Rodri
He is the best in his position. That’s why he is worth £150m, and why he is currently our priority target. Not being funny lads, I know you all like playing football manager but he’s had one very good and one pretty good season in Germany which as we all know is a much lesser league.
If we were to pay him £400k a week, put him on a par with Haaland, that would be nuts.
If he was the absolute best player in his position, like Haaland is, then yeah it would make sense but otherwise what the fuck are we even playing at offering him that much.
Did we not learn from the mistake we made with Grealish.
If it was over, City would have briefed it. Bayern would have also briefed that City's dirty oil money has won the bidding and they never wanted him anyway.
I genuinely think he's waiting to see what happens with our CL qualification and for the season to finish. Things can move quickly, we have the finances and squad space so its not like were waiting to sell Kev to see if he can come in and the lad knows it.
I would say its more often than not. I can't remember Bellingham tbhNot sure about that. I know we sometimes brief the press when we are out (eg Rice) but it’s not always the case.
Don’t recall us briefing before Bellingham joined Madrid for example.
I don’t think he’s proven that yetHe is the best in his position. That’s why he is worth £150m, and why he is currently our priority target.
It is rather weird, to me, that people talk about proven players yet embrace Wirtz like he is the second coming. I cannot recall ever watching him play, or certainly not standing out, and I don't imagine I am alone. I watch plenty of football, but that's mainly Manchester City, Manchester City EDS, and Manchester City Academy!I don’t think he’s proven that yet
How do u know that?I know it won’t be.
It’s not over at least until we hear about an agreed upon transfer fee between Leverkusen and a buying club. The report from Bild couldn't even give us that.It is rather weird, to me, that people talk about proven players yet embrace Wirtz like he is the second coming. If we are in for him as strongly as is rumoured then I respect the board enough to welcome him with open arms. It doesn't mean by any stretch that he is a guaranteed PL cracker. He is, as yet, unproven. He would be leaving his home nation and a less competitive league to come and play in a different culture with packed defences in almost every game and a different set of colleagues and tactics than he is used to.
BTW, I have seen absolutely nothing yet that has convinced me that Bayern is a done deal. I agree, on this respect, with @Aguuuerroooooo here - it is not over until the contract is signed and officially announced.

I'll put money on it that I am not.I think you are alone in this particular thread when you say you havent seen him play.
I have to imagine posters arent asking for him on blind trust, without seeing him play, that seems insane.
Well the club and our scouts do, so I’ll go with their opinion. CheersI don’t think he’s proven that yet
