FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

28 with 6 to play. Not bad against an average of 17.

Mamoush 1pt was my cpt.

Beto gets a big haul again (9) sat as no 2 sub on my bench.

I made 1 transfer this week bringing in schade, he got me 11pts. Nice.

25 for me so far, also with six to play (Cucurella, Timber, Murphy, Salah, Eze and Isak). Salah is my captain. He's due a half decent week. His last 6 GWs, reading back.... 2, 8, 3, 6, 2 and 3 pts. A 15 - 20 pt return wouldn't go amiss.

Bit of an ask when they’re playing Arsenal and not playing for anything , but never know.

Ended up with 60 pts. Six points coming off the bench (Livramento in for Timber). Salah again not justifying having the captain's armband; 2 pts (x2) from him. I may have to consider someone else for my captain for next week. Maybe Eze or Mbuemo. Unless I ship out Salah, and bring in Haaland (yes; I know. I can't do a straight swap, I'd need to do a second transfer). Thing is, his display yesterday didn't inspire confidence. I probably won't bother trying to get him in. Use my 1 free transfer to replace Timber, if needed. Have to wait and see if there's any updates on him before next weekend.

I'm bringing Watkins in and captaining him against spurs. Villa need to win and spurs don't give a fuck about anything other than the tin pot final against the rags.

I messed up this week, 58 points and a small green arrow but I took a -4 when I saw Marmoush was out and sold him for Cunha.

Cunha then got 0 points, I should have just left Marmoush on the bench, sold him for Watkins this week and played Murphy instead. I'd have been 9 points better off.

I saw the same leak and just put Marmoush last on my bench and played Rogers instead. I was and am still good with that. I do not plan to do any major surgery to get Haaland in for GW37, especially given that match is 3 days after the FA Cup final. Predicting City rotation won't be fun either.

Watkins was already on my radar too, he just needed to 1) show he'd play minutes and 2) is still in form. While that goal for Villa was 99% from Rogers for that precise cross that likely would have gone in, Watkins did get the toe on it and was in front of the GK to cause that cross not to be stopped. Two boxes checked for me.

The good news today is the NFO draw helped City in the EPL standings, even though my starting Selz over Raya was not something the odds and stats were saying was going to be a wash in FPL points too. Oh well, classic FPL, and a LIV win would have been nice today too, but at least Chelsea lost. And Nicholas Jackson reminds me "never again" too, as if... ;-)

62 in the end for me.

I didn't get ahead of the Mamoush news si he was my cpt. Not a big loss as I would have picked salad who got nothing anyway.

It was a weekend where most of the big names blanked.

I've git 2 transfers banked but it's difficult to pick now.

The one reason I wasn't convinced by Murphy was he always gets subbed early and last week he was off after 55 minutes for 1 point.

Murphy's law he plays the full game against Chelsea.

I wouldn't get Haaland at this stage even if I could afford him.

Surely Watkins is safe even if the utd reject is fit? He can't play the final game against his parent club so pissing Watkins off wouldn't be the smartest move.

I'm also playing double Villa keeper and defender against spurs, have to try and take advantage of a second string line up.

I can't blame you there as the subs have been closer to that 60 minute mark and who's to say with Howe. I was a bit surprised he started Gordon, Barnes, and Murphy, but it looked like a good lineup today and Chelsea deservedly lost that.

Correct, Watkins should be safe for both, and that last fixture looks like a beaut too vs. the rags! ;-)

Absolutely, I would too. Hopefully we both keep on movin' up. Unless something totally out of whack happens, I can hopefully stay in 100K. 50K is 22 away, so it will require some good luck from here on out. Being on the wrong side of Raya/Selz for the most part since WC31 has been annoying, but one has to play the odds. A final KDB home game bonanza would be nice for us both too, dontcha think? ;-)

Yep, hopefully one last hurrah from kev, I'll probably sell him to Saka in the final GW.

Who would you sell for Watkins, Cunha or Isak?

Thinking Cunha after his 0 pointer and getting subbed off before the hour, what a waste of a transfer that was, Newcastle have Arsenal and Everton, not amazing fixtures but at least they have something to play for.

I have Issak, marmoush and Beto upfront.

Beto is in the best form with a 6 and 8 in the last 2 weeks. But at 4.8m he was bought to sit on my bench.

Marmoush seems the best option for me to sell but I suspect he starts for us at home.

My midfield is pretty strong. Can't decide what to tinker with to be honest but at this stage why save up anything?

43 seems to be a low average score. But I guess if Salah, Palmer or Isak aren't scoring big, it will drags peoples' scores down.
It's also the people who give up over a season.

First few weeks everyone who bothered to set up an account is tinkering with transfers and picking a team. Over time people drop down leagues and give up.

So at this point you have the lowest active accounts. And lowest average scores.

Your midfield looks really solid this week, you even have the luxury of benching Isak if you want this week. Beto would be a really interesting punt as captain in the last ever game at Goodison.

Eze and Beto have tough fixtures in the last GW though. Beto to Evanilson could be nice on the final day.

I tend to sign players just to sit on the bench. Basically lowest possible cost but with a chance of some return if they end up playing. Beto was bought for that and has delivered the returns but never got of the bench.
