Pretty huge development that. Having an agreement with the club is the hardest part generally and I dont see why City would be this advanced if they weren't confident a deal could be done. Let's see if Wirtz has the grapefruits to make the move or not.

I can see some further documents being leaked to Der Spiegel if we were to sign Wirtz and upset the German establishment.

Our wage structure is actually really impressive. You’d think we’d throw the bag at him and we still might.

Haalands new deal is because he’s our record breaking superstar. KDB earned it, Bernie earned it. Grealish is the exception but was a huge deal.

You could argue certain players here would be on more elsewhere given the market

A part of me is thinking the German media is pushing this as they know they can't compete with Leverkusen asking price and inevitably wages so if Wirtz does come to us they can just say its because of the money even though they probably thought they could fleece Leverkusen
