He never really said owt though. The only thing he said, in an interview which might have even been in-house at Liverpool, was that the team he was playing in at Liverpool was the best in terms of team spirit and togetherness he’d ever played in. He never even mentioned City, didn’t reference owt about us.

It was all about Liverpool fans booing Sterling and us doing something back. We pretty much made up (like we have in the past about Sané sulking as well) that he said something about City.

One of the few things I’ve felt was pathetic about us over the years.

There was no need to boo Milner (or Sturridge, or Distin, or Dickov, or Barton).
I don't see the point in booing former players, and have never booed Milner or any of the others mentioned. But he definitely got a good reception from us on his first visit. Steeling had nothing to do with it.

I could be wrong but I thought he said in a interview that he had gone to Liverpool to win things .

Pretty easy to do if you don't constantly look at the BBC and Sky Sports. Only time I've acknowledged it is to text a Dipper mate saying well done as he's been one of the first to message after we've won it.
Same, my pal has been first on to say well done and genuinely has a good take on football - playing wise, refuses to get drawn into the meeja b*llocks that surrounds their club - one of the few it seems..or do we react to the worst of that lot and there's a good % of normal football fans

On the basis that enemy's enemy is your friend, do we now like Arnold?

I still dont - he's still a **** (and not very good to boot) but just checking others' barometers

Makes a mockery of there famous you’ll never walk alone bolloxs that the media love to play at a higher volume then any other club, so that’s Trent , Sterling , and the goalie was his name karis or something like.

Still seems a prick but the fans are worse.

He's fulfilled his contract, never downed tools, never tried to force a move or anything.

What more can you ask of a player really? They're under no obligation to sign a new contract

And if the club wants some dough for him, then it's on them to figure out a way to sell him before he's in his last season

Most footy fans when you get them alone are usually alright

For a good while now, the TV pundits and whatnot have been disproportionately Liverpool and United players. The main stars at Sky are Nev and Carra. Keane is usually knocking about. Even match of the day they used to have Hansen, Lawrenson and co. Scholesy used to do a fair bit. Rooney pops up a lot more now, I'm sure the list goes on.

I think the disproportionate representation on TV from ex players of certain clubs who are naturally gonna be partisan make people think all footy fans are like that.
