Dipper fans forget they got Milner on a free..
Different, and I never understood the flack he got from ours for running down his contract. The difference with Arnold though is he is an academy product and their beef is that, in typical dipper **** mentality, he owes them something. He owes them the square root of fuck all.

Liverpool fans have once again shown their lack of class today, and looking at the socials and the posts about the booing, nobody is surprised one iota.

A **** of a fan base who think they are some kind of moral royalty (despite murderous rampages across Europe and umpteen examples of vile, foul behaviour)

Flack? If anything we had a delayed reaction, the "flack" if there was any, came about 3 years after, even at the game where they destroyed the coach, the fans still couldn't turn on Milner, it was a display of some kind of weird misplaced loyalty if you ask me

IIRC Milner didn't really get much flack straight away, it started after a few of the things he said in his first year at Liverpool.
That's how I remember it too. Most of us were sad to see him go - he'd filled well in at nearly every position in his last season and always put in a shift. Ultimately iirc none of us thought the dippers would get more than a season or two out of him because of his age, and he was always going to be a (very good) utility player rather than a starter at city.

He never really said owt though. The only thing he said, in an interview which might have even been in-house at Liverpool, was that the team he was playing in at Liverpool was the best in terms of team spirit and togetherness he’d ever played in. He never even mentioned City, didn’t reference owt about us.

It was all about Liverpool fans booing Sterling and us doing something back. We pretty much made up (like we have in the past about Sané sulking as well) that he said something about City.

One of the few things I’ve felt was pathetic about us over the years.

There was no need to boo Milner (or Sturridge, or Distin, or Dickov, or Barton).

Yeah because no other club has had a youth graduate leave them have they? That's never happened outside of liverpool.

Another example of Liverpool being "special"

Vile fanbase letting the mask slip once again.

Look at the treatment owen got for leaving them and he was desperate to return, mcmanamanamanaman. Gerrard at the mere suggestion of leaving.

"Nobody treats their own like Liverpool"

Yeah you're spot on there, nobody treats them so poorly.

New chant for next season "we don't boo our own, we don't boo our ownnnn, unlike Liverpool. We don't boo our own"

I know he’s a Scouser, but he did come through our Academy, but we did boo Barton when he was in our shirt when he wasn’t signing a contract extension.

And I know he’s a Brummy, but he did come through our Academy, but we did boo Sturridge because he dared to leave us.

And I know he’s a Scot and didn’t come through our Academy, but we did boo Dickov for celebrating against us.

They are a different breed, and they honestly believe that they are never at fault!

They campaigned about tragedy chanting, then sang 'Lizzie's in a box' when the queen died!

Irony is lost on them!

What the real tragedy is is that someone in a room somewhere has decided to protect them from criticism by telling the huge majority of people what to think and say.

This Liverpool FC exceptionalism is so fucking tedious.

And has so many fucking holes in it.
