Seat Counters - 2024/25

The Oasis ticket I spotted on Ticketmaster at Heaton Park on Friday for £435 sold. I checked back yesterday. It shows that people will pay what they have to pay to be at an event.
Trying to compare Apples with Oranges.
Oasis haven't played together for for 20 plus years.
This is just the first season that City haven't played together...

strange thing is even though it makes no economical sense, if i had no other option i would buy one, the thought of not going would do my brain in, i am not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination, i spent 499 quid on a wizz air flight to see us at timisoara i just have the fuck it gene that says it's only money, not rational, not logical, but i couldn't watch it on TV, it's just not the same

You'd still have to pay more to see them at Wembley this Saturday!

The £255/£285 Club Wembley tickets are ridiculous.

You could not expect yer average football fan to pay that.

Thinking back to the Stoke final. Don't think we had many seats for sale in that area. Apart from Liam Gallagher's.

The FA have chucked these seats on us as they cannot sell them as corporate any more.

We should have told them to fck off and only accepted reasonably priced seats.

Does anyone on here know someone who want to play 250+ for tickets as of tomorrow, i know of no one

I suspect most of the 20 or so people I will be with on Saturday would have paid it if it was their only option. They would have moaned like fuck. Threatened to cancel their ST in disgust. Probably written a strongly worded letter to their MP. But then paid up anyway. Because that’s what they do and have done for 40 + years in most cases.

The people actually buying them are, with a few exceptions, the complete opposite of that. People often make the ridiculous comparison with the cost of going to a one off concert. For the people spending £570 for a pair of tickets it’s probably a fair comparison. For a lot of them, it’ll be their one and only game of the season which they’re prepared to pay silly money for.

If they were going to 50+ games a season, rather than one, they’d probably have a slightly different perspective on it.

you could be right, my mindset is, certainly as i am getting older, none of it will matter when you are dead and gone, so fuck it i will try and do whatever i can, whenever i can, it's overpriced, it's obscene, but i want to be there, i will whack it on the card and deal with it later, i would probably justify it in my head by saying it's just an expensive non european day trip, but it's a final, so i am going.

Level 2 was predominantly 10 year Club Wembley memberships for the first decade after the new stadium was built. It’s only since then that larger numbers of those seats have been included in finalists’ allocations.
A lot of the memberships presumably weren’t renewed.

It looks like only 3 blocks on L2 may not sell out. 217, 218, and 219.

That's the crux. Everybody is different and that applies to finance too. As you rightly say though we cannot take our money with us. None of us like to think that day will come but one day it will. Also add on to that the possibility of ill health limiting our ability to travel and attend events and it becomes grab it while you can. That's before our form may start dropping off again so such occasions may become rarer. This season is a prime example of that.
As we get older, if we have a reasonable amount of savings, pensions and are mortgage free then you can start to guage how much your savings will last for the years available. Once you think it should easily last then you can loosen the reigns on spending it.
Wembley and finals are worth every penny if you win but a waste of you lose. That's the gamble.

I'll take losing to Wigan and to the Rags to the grave with me.

I think we got a 25,000 allocation for the Stoke final. Club Wembley corporate was in full flow then so the expensive tickets remaining now weren't available for us back then. We have had access to circa 8,000 more plus the other seats in the City end sold through the FA's partners.

Whilst the prices are obscene, I think a lot more are getting the opportunity to go than would have had a chance back in 2011. Although @Didsbury Dave may correct me on that!

It's still not right, but you can bet that's what the FA are thinking, alongside raking in as much as they can!

Yes, we ultimately get about 3000 more seats allocated but all on level 2. We did only get 25k for the stoke final and all of the rest of the City end was sold through the FA. There were no returns which is very rare.
