I went to Sampdoria v Salernitana last Friday. 31,000 attendance and an incredible atmosphere in the stadium. Their fans are different gravy.

Two poor teams, Samp just about scraped a win 1-0 but had no real attacking threat, no playing style or shape.

I think they've had 4 managers this season alone.

I was hoping that they could win last night at Juve Stabia and make a great escape but all the other teams around them won their games.

What a mess.

I was there two years ago. Such a welcoming fanbase. I was teaching an old boy about the v-sign when I joined in with a chant (they were all doing the middle finger salute to the away fans). Stood behind the goal with the ultras and not even a dodgy look was aimed our way.

I hope not. I’m going to last game of season in Napoli. Be fucking typical of me to jinx it. Bet on Inter.

Not sure if you're aware, but there are now reports in Italy that the last game of the season could be played on Wednesday or Thursday next week to allow a play off match to be scheduled in before the champions league final if it is required.

I'm also booked up to go out next weekend. be gutted if the games moved and I end up missing it.

I'm going in August.... any advice on getting tickets?

I was over last August for the game against Bologna, just signed up to Napoli website and bought direct from them no problem.

'Fan card' (similar to City's match-day membership) is required for some of the bigger games. Costs 20 euros (plus another 20 euro delivery to UK) but is valid for 3 years.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk.

Congratulations to Bologna. A bumpy period of managerial changes but they’ve continued to improve and are suitably rewarded.
Scottish midfielders seem to be thriving in Italy.

Liam Henderson facing relegation though, Josh Doig promoted though. Think Italian clubs view scotland as a good market, certainly less fees/wages than English players. And if they flourish an EPL club will pay a good wedge, like Hickey. It’s quite entertaining seeing rag fans pissed off they sold McTomminay only to see him flourish. They should have built a team around him. Cheers Jim.

Napoli also have Gilmour and Adams has done quite well at Torino.
