Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

City lying about their being availability in south then, you can only relocate to CB 1 & 3 and East 1 & 3. If you look at last season (https://tickets.mancity.com/en-GB/subscriptions/gold 2024-25?hallmap&sb2m=1) there's a decent amount of availability in south too, they just want to leave some seats there for individual match tickets ffs. Want to move from where I was forced to go to with my flexi but it doesn't look likely.
Is that bad, seats should be available all over to give match day buyers as much choice as anyone else. I like to move all over trying different stands and blocks.

seats always come available through the exchange though, I feel like City's just forcing everyone to the more expensive seats

They do but many buy their match day tickets when they first go on sale in the summer, everything can't be just about season ticket holders.

Does anyone know the likelihood of a live updated map as such?

I.e. 500 move from Block X to elsewhere, will those 500 in Block X then be up for grabs?

I’m pretty sure that’s how it’s worked previously but I don’t think they’ll do that this time around.

Of course it’s not but surely they deserve the first look.

How do you justify that Johnny-come-lately cityzen member should have equal chance to pick a spot in the stadium than the one who commits to being there 19 times a season? interested to hear.

This is true but existing ST holders should absolutely get to choose where they sit in the stadium and not be limited to the more expensive seats.

Don't think that's how it worked last year. I moved seat last year and checked straight away and that seat was greyed out. I asked the person who I used to sit nearby and they said it had been sold as a matchday ticket this season.

Website update shows no availability in South (but does still also say extremely limited)

Out of interest have they ever limited where you can relocate to in previous seasons? I don’t think they have.
It certainly has been in the recent past when I toyed with the idea of relocating. The areas I wanted were unavailable or very limited availability, so I didn't bother.

I'm talking about a few seats left in different blocks, hopefully in pairs, and I was also talking about the many matchday buyers that have been going to City since the 60s,70s, 80s, maybe ec season ticket holders that go to a few games every season. Seems a case of looking down on those sort of fans and as soon as matchday tickets are mentioned , the first though seems to be JCL /tourist and it's okay to treat them as second class fans.
I'd go further when there are new relocations for the new stand I think whole groups of seats all around the stadium should be ringfenced for matchday tickets so fans that want to sit together old and new can buy seats sat together, and not allow any relocations going forward that dilute the seats together and we end up trying to sell hundred of singles.

Not sure that's true. The most expensive seats are down as unavailable.

Yes, as they want all L2 as corporate/hospitality. That gains much more income than any season ticket would ever produce so they aren't going to advertise those.

There'll be people that haven't renewed in South Stand so there's no reason why those seats can't be made available for relocation. The only explanation I can think of would be the cost. They've seen the resistance there now with the protests, so may believe it's hard to increase prices significantly. A way to still increase income is by not offering up lapsed season ticket seats in cheaper areas of the ground (SSL3 particularly).

Is North Stand one of the more expensive areas? No availability there either.

If you click relocate, then decide that you don’t want to after seeing the options, can you have your seat back? How does it work? New to this

Cheers

Most of the problems lie in the transparency issues we currently have with those running the club, everything is cloak & dagger, down to where you can relocate a ST, I get they may not want other clubs to know our business model regarding such things, but that can’t be at the expense of supporters, would it be too much to ask for them to state how many ST’s we have, how many corporate, how many match day tickets available, what seats they’re holding back for various reasons, and give supporters an avenue to request certain seats that we all know are available

Yes, you dont have to move if you choose the option to relocate (you can just look around to see which seat you'd like). Its only when you actually move to a different seat then your original seat becomes available. Even then you can move back if no one else has taken that seat in the meantime.

No it’s a cheaper area. That’s the point. They’re not allowing relocation to the cheaper North and South stands (by the looks of it) and effectively only allowing fans to relocate to the more expensive CB and East.

Lvl 2 is typically most expensive but as others have suggested they’re probably being held back for corporate etc.

North and South will probably therefore have the most availability for Matchday tickets which are already sold for a premium.

This just screams of city maximising profits and taking the piss tbh.

I assumed all stands were similarly priced. Obviously I'm wrong on that.
