Looking at this photo I do not remember our shirts at any point saying ‘choose Etihad’.

And yet if it was united pep was in charge of and winning what we have won in the style we have he would not have mentioned boring possession football once.
It's a myth football was more exciting and more 'mavericks' back in the day, it's a pundits ego thing because they know footballers now days are much better, the football is much better.
Even in uniteds pomp there was always games where good footballing teams in champs league would turn up and school united, even with their team of mavericks. Deportivo, valencia, Madrid, Milan, dortmand, bayern, Lyon all spring to mind.

Bizarre isn't it, you'd think that as both terrestrial channels are showing it simultaneously, the BBC would want to pedal it all week to get more viewers. Sadly it seems the desire (or rules set) to appease the Scousers and Rags is just too powerful. Literally cutting their nose off to spite their face.

Yip,riddled with rags the bbc sports website and I’d throw in a number of red scousers as well,don’t give them a penny and fuck off the tv licence..

Neville started this boring football narrative years ago! they was talking about Kompany getting the Bayern job because he sticks to his principles, maybe if they listen to pep who says you have to have top players to play this way and look now Kompany won the German league! Oh they never once mentioned Arteta at Arsenal who had no managerial experience going to Arsenal!

Edit: my bad. I’d assumed by ‘fiercest rivals’ that he meant us; if he means the other lot, it still equally preposterous…

These articles ( the rags) such as this,is for the sole purpose of keeping them in the spotlight and attempting to be relevant,gives the impression that the club is still challenging for MAJOR honours..Yes the Europa league is still a trophy at the end of the day but come on by next Wednesday the English media will have it as an equal with the champions league..
