How any supposedly City “fan” can use words like “shite” and other derogatory words to describe Kev contribution astounds me. The player has absolutely given his all to our club, and tried to weather major injuries sustained after all in “giving his all to the club”. Alright the lad is coming to a career end, sad but it happens. Let him down gently, he has been the king and the fact our set pieces are rubbish is coaching staff fault not Kevin’s, we had better set pieces when Bell, Lee and Summerbee where playing.
It's being judged by those very, very high former standards. He shouldn't be being relied upon as he is, because he isn't up to it consistently anymore.

Sadly, as a blue of 60 years, I have to say that numerous KDB performances over this last season in particular have been very poor, as has Pep's management - and not just of KDB.

The former isn't likely to improve, so he has to go, as there's no room for sentiment at the very top level. Fingers crossed for the latter - Pep - who has the possibility of rediscovering his magical touch. Not much evidence of that lately though.

I would argue he’s shored up our defending a bit albeit against a huge cost offensively where none of the players have performed

I don’t think anyone thinks he will retain his former magical touch, we are all sad about this, but for goodness sake, a bit of understanding here. He’s been a player who you knew when he came onto the pitch would give his all, surely that’s worth some respect as he comes to the end of his career.

Both he and Tevez coaster through their careers at 80% I reckon. Scary

Yaya and Tevez were genuine match changers. When the chips were down, they rolled up their sleeves and took teams apart on their own.

Despite their 'issues' while at the club, I still believe that they were two of the three greatest and most influential City players of the 21st century... the other being Sergio Aguero.

No one really disrespects him. He is more deserving of a statue than any other player, imho. It's just internet fans telling it how they perceive it from the evidence before their eyes - and then calling it out bluntly, sadly.

There's a 30(?) second delay on posting consecutively on here, presumably for performance reasons or perhaps to stop bot attacks closing the site down. I'd increase the delay to 10 minutes between posts which would hopefully give some posters time to reflect, before hitting 'post reply'.
