Best place/hotel to stay for the final, and best pubs to drink (not the Torch)

Does no one actually drink and stay in London? It’s like visiting ‘Manchester’ and staying or going out in somewhere like Leigh
Haha, we’re staying at the Premier inn Paddington basin, £300 for 3 of us with breakfast fri-sun, plenty to do round there, 5 minute Uber to Marylebone for the 10 minute train to Wembley, loads of boozers, decent food options

Hillingdon is decent on the Metropolitan Line - Ickenham an alternative in that area.

At Hillingdon theres a decent pub by the station called The Swallow thats worth popping in to for beer/food. You can also use Just Park to book parking on someones drive in this area too.
Masons arms kendal rise...used to be run by a big blue..always had a good City showing

That’s a great shout, I have just moved from near that area and sad to leave. You can do everything so easily from there. If you want to take it easy for a bit one day go to Little Venice it’s a beautiful area for a quiet beer or coffee and just a short walk down the canal

Ha yeah I’ve never got it but then again I live here. A lot of people I know have no time for London which is a shame as it’s top place to go and drink if you know where you’re going. Got my old man, uncle and cousin coming so we’ll be doing a crawl around Euston through to Baker Street.

Staying in the kings Cross premier inn and will be out around there after.
There used to be a top Irish gaff around there called McGlynn’s but the landlord died and it’s shut down. As someone else mentioned, Scottish Stores is worth a visit.

I’m staying in Finchley, will be drinking round Kings Cross tomorrow evening.
There’s a few places I’d recommend on your way back through to Finchley (depending how up for a night your are) if you were to make a stop. Boogaloo in Highgate is always good on a Friday night and it’s right next to the station. If you fancy mixing with the locals then Gerty’s or Madden’s in East Finchley. Dm me if you need any tips mate

Thanks Borassic, my rag mate lives there, so hopefully we’ll try a few of your suggestions.

you can, we’ve gone full tourist & booked a Goboat for an hours cruise (alcohol free apparently) not cheap but when in Rome, if anyone sees a chubby fella with a beard & a 6ft banana and a kid that looks like Kim jong un cruising down the canal it’s me, give us a City City City from the embankment

Thanks pal, i didn't realise...must have been pretty recent... Do you know if Wealdstone FC is worth a trip out to?
In reply to your second question - I think Wealdstone is sold out already. I think we’ll probably be drinking around Baker St. There’s a Spoons there for a couple of cheap ones but will probably be out in the street in the sun near the tube .

It’s one of the great cities in the world. Up there with New York, Paris, Tokyo and Berlin. You just need to have a bit about you and know where to go.

London's food and drink is identical to that you can find in Manchester only more expensive and more difficult to find.

It really isn’t. There’s a shit tonne more diversity and depth in London and I’m saying that as a Mancunian foodie who loves Manchester.
Can only echo this. Work has taken me to being London based 2-3 days a week for the past 4 plus years and theres some really decent places to eat/drink if you are prepared to look around, and I say that as a proud Mancunian.
