Wolves was a scary place to go in the 70's
With a nick nack paddy whack….is that the only song they know..Go on Facebook and the United fans still think they have the best vocal away support. Their away support has very average this season. Only really singing when they have been in-front, which hasn't been often.
I fucking laugh my rocks off as soon as I hear the divs belt that out. With a nick nack paddy whack….is that the only song they know..

The only ground where they sit down in the safe standing (to the right of our side)Molineux is one of these places that when it's quiet it really is an absolute morge, us beating them 3-0 a couple of years ago springs to mind.
However, when they're on it their aren't many places louder. As you say that 3-2 game was something else, and they were also electric last season when they beat us
Haha I gave up my season ticket about 6 years ago and used to be in 112 as close as you can be to the away fans. It was fucking brilliant being there, non stop all game!A Wolves fan I speak to on the phone at work has said for years that he loves coming to our place because even if we’re not on it atmosphere-wise he knows that the away fans will still get bombarded with stick from both 110/111 corner and 114/115/116!
Thanks for that and to 'There is a light'.Molineux is one of these places that when it's quiet it really is an absolute morge, us beating them 3-0 a couple of years ago springs to mind.

‘Why don’t you rip off your knickers…’I always laugh when I hear that "cock of the North" dirge.
Exactly the sort of thing we’ve been protesting about over the last month, mate. We are with you, all fanbases must band together on this! Thanks for that and to 'There is a light'.
Our problem is ground structure, Steve Bull stand is about 20-30 yards from the pitch, same with the Billy Wright stand opposite. So when its quiet any sound just drifts. The away stand if you choose the higher allocation of 3000 is the Steve Bull Lower tier, not a popular away stand by any means and I understand why. Though City don't seem to have issues creating a noise there. The smaller allocation is 1700 up in the Quadrant of the North bank.
Every club has a discussion about atmosphere and ours has got worse especially away with increase in prices. I find now that youths are priced out and away tickets seem all to go to Away Season Ticket holders. Who can afford one of them?
This season our season tickets in the South Bank (cheapest adult) went up from £550 to £750, we lost 3,000 of our 23,000 season ticket holders as a result and went right through the 12,000 waiting list to sell those 3,000. Well I tell a lie, the little fabricated iron, uncovered corner stand attached to the South Bank sells all 300 season tickets at £550 so they look good when it comes to benchmarking surveys.
We have all the same discussions about atmosphere that all clubs have. But I have noticed our atmosphere dip home and especially away as the shall we say 'livlier elements' are priced out. I've nothing against 50-60 year olds (I'm one of them) and they have every right to spend their disposable cash on football, but at City we were very poor vocally, though outsung by City all around us. Unless we are winning its generally like that these days sadly. I know City have had the same issues with pricing this season.
Anyway, its interesting to read other fans views, appreciate you reading my thoughts. I'll depart for good now and leave you to discuss All things City!
PS Bring Back Swales - the safer standing area is to the left the South Bank and all 6,000 stand all the time. The Smaller Quadrant to your right also often stand up - about 1,500, and a few hundred stand at the top of the Steve Bull stand above the away fans in the corner by the South Bank, so overall we have about 8,000 standing most games.
I think you've quite eloquently summed up a lot of the issues with modern football. Thanks for that and to 'There is a light'.

Stoke City song from the 70s, little original comes out of OT.I always laugh when I hear that "cock of the North" dirge.
I'd echo that, brilliant throughout. Pity I can't say the same for some of the numpties on the Matchday thread.Away End was fantastic yesterday, pretty much non stop singing for 90 minutes. Well done to everyone who made the trip.
That was a Friday eve too from memoryTwitter’s full of clueless cunts and when it comes to football it’s even worse and it’s hard to have a balanced conversation with a lot of these clowns. The Wolves fans who were there are better placed than anyone to judge what it was like the other night. Certainly better placed than armchair United fans in Canada.
What I would add is that the atmosphere at all PL grounds can be hit and miss, and that includes our ground of course. On a good day we get nights like Friday so it’s not an exact science to say that our ground is always bouncing, whereas Old Trafford isn’t but I guess the Wolves fan is giving his opinion on the respective atmospheres for their most recent game at our place and at United the other week.
Incidentally, I think Wolves are up there as consistently having one of the better home atmospheres in the PL. That night they beat us 3-2 over Christmas 2019 when Ederson got sent off early on and we went 2-0 up somewhat against the run of play is one of the best atmospheres I’ve witnessed at a PL away game in years.
Inflatables? Can you get an Inflatable KevFulham away last game..blues brothers fancy dress ..blast from past!
Word, just don't try and find the team line up before kick off.I hope everyone is bang up for Wembley, bring the colour and the noise, complete fuck em attitude
