Twitter’s full of clueless cunts and when it comes to football it’s even worse and it’s hard to have a balanced conversation with a lot of these clowns. The Wolves fans who were there are better placed than anyone to judge what it was like the other night. Certainly better placed than armchair United fans in Canada.

What I would add is that the atmosphere at all PL grounds can be hit and miss, and that includes our ground of course. On a good day we get nights like Friday so it’s not an exact science to say that our ground is always bouncing, whereas Old Trafford isn’t but I guess the Wolves fan is giving his opinion on the respective atmospheres for their most recent game at our place and at United the other week.

Incidentally, I think Wolves are up there as consistently having one of the better home atmospheres in the PL. That night they beat us 3-2 over Christmas 2019 when Ederson got sent off early on and we went 2-0 up somewhat against the run of play is one of the best atmospheres I’ve witnessed at a PL away game in years.

20.000 empty blue seats and our atmosphere still puts their`s to shame eh :-) Nice of the Wolves support to back the post up too . I`m certain the Wolves fans enjoyed the atmosphere and banter created by both sets of supporter also . There were a few applauding the city fans in 111 at the end too . More of the same for Bournemouth please !

A Wolves fan I speak to on the phone at work has said for years that he loves coming to our place because even if we’re not on it atmosphere-wise he knows that the away fans will still get bombarded with stick from both 110/111 corner and 114/115/116!

They were in hysterics on the train home simply because they're not fighters but had just enjoyed a typical Friday night drink.

Used to drink in the horse shoe and bulls head from 1973 til the late 80’s. Never did much touching though!
 
Have 1894 found out what the allocated blocks are going to be for the Final?
Also how does the ticket purchase for those blocks work?

They are clearly marked on the seating plan on the clubs website and it's first come first served I think regarding tickets in those sections. Blocks 110,111,112,113 in the East stand.
 
Thanks. It’s a shame there isn’t an Upper Tier block. I like a decent view of the match as well as standing and singing.It shouldn’t be a choice between one or the other.
 
Go on Facebook and the United fans still think they have the best vocal away support. Their away support has very average this season. Only really singing when they have been in-front, which hasn't been often.

Absolutely awful at ours too. Only singing when they were locked in inside an empty stadium after two late goals. Buzzing their tits off with their so-called 'atmosphere' on social media. Complete morons.

Yes every game I watch at their place the atmosphere is usually very good.

That's grounds in this country for you, the atmosphere is fluid and usually reactive. People bang on about the foreign grounds and while the displays and flares look good, the orchestrated singing and drums just becomes a droning background noise bearing no relevance to what's actually happening on the pitch.

Online is annoying because you just have trolls spouting absolute bollocks for a reaction and these days spouting the tiresome City bingo. Empty seats, oil money, plastic club, 115 charges/cheating. If it's Liverpool, Arsenal or the rags you get the history nonsense thrown in as well.

We all know that atmosphere's can vary immensely and I totally understand that a home game v Wolves is not exactly gonna get the Etihad bouncing. But I have to say it was excellent the other night. The difference between City and United home atmospheres, this season at least, was like chalk and cheese. You get really good gates and have a strong fan base, but don't need or want to be like them. I know you understand this. Not brown-nosing even if it seems that way, just saying it as I see it.

By the way, we have two home games v Bournemouth and Fulham that are like a morgue, not sure why, they are decent teams. Everyone has a number of shite atmosphere's. Forest will plateau out too in a year or two.

I was also at the theatre a few weeks ago, when we won 1-0, loved it. It was a different kettle of fish. Again, I do understand that all Manchester fans will feel the same playing us that we feel playing Bournemouth or Fulham...not very invested or excited. But it was an embarrassment. "Mourinhio's right, your fans are shite" was booming out with nothing coming back. Couldn't even really hear their singers corner (they probably can't hear the away fans either in fairness), but to have 2-3,000 singers out of 75,000 is a poor vocal return. I'm sure there are many good loyal Man United fans around, but it did seem like 30-40% were tourists with their blog sticks and phones. Don't get me wrong, we even get a few at Molineux with us having a Korean striker. Not much you can do about it. I do feel a bit for loyal Mancs but how have all these tourists managed to get in? Someone must have sold their tickets.

OT just doesn't feel like a football club any more, or at least not a local one - so many southerners and Irish (nothing against either BTW). Nothing revealing in that, as Mancs you will understand all of this. But as an outsider it really struck me. It has no soul. Will probably be even worse in a 100,000 stadium.

I know you have grown your own fanbase too, but still, it is really good to see that City are still undoubtedly 80% Mancs, if not more (or from north-west towns at least).

United were woeful in their home derby last month as well, so it’s not just that they’re not invested as they have no rivalry with Wolves.

Being completely honest our own atmospheres have dipped this season, but they’ve improved over the last few games. That said it’s annoying that City are used as the yardstick for poor atmospheres on social media when we know how good it can be (the Treble season was incredible at points), and also how shite a lot of other PL grounds can be (it’s not like a lot of us don’t do aways and hear opposition atmospheres first hand).

Anyway, appreciate the comments, I like to hear the honest opinions of real fans, instead of social media knobheads. Hope you finish the season well.

Molineux is one of these places that when it's quiet it really is an absolute morge, us beating them 3-0 a couple of years ago springs to mind.

However, when they're on it their aren't many places louder. As you say that 3-2 game was something else, and they were also electric last season when they beat us
