Nailed on Akanji in central defence with Dias and Gvariol back at left back, Nunes right back.

Expecting no out and out wingers and a midfield of Kovacic, Gundogan KDB. Grealish and Bernardo on wings.

Pep will treat this final like a send off party for the older players/ players heading out.

If fortunes we reversed and Palace had spent the last 15 years winning everything in sight and we were in with a chance of landing our first ever major trophy the BBC would be backing us. It's not much of a story if City win again, whereas a Palace win will go down alongside Wigan, Wimbledon, etc. as a proper shock.

Us Palace fans refer to the red half of your city by one word, it rhymes with bankers. Not a big fan of the ownership situation, but always liked you lot as a club. Here's hoping for a decent game tomorrow!

I dislike Atwell immensely. He did us over at Brighton in the PL in 2021 ( luckily we won it at a canter that season), some comments were made by people who know about dodgy reffing decisions and betting.

I am quite nervy about this one. I just think we have to be very wary of their speed merchants, plus our team be really on it. Pep might be making the right noises in the media today but he did prior to the Soton game. And we all know what happened there.

That was different. Any loss to them is bad. A cup final…..horrendous and look at the possible repercussions of that if they win next week!

If we do lose, I can’t say I would be overly arsed for longer than a day and if Palace win I guess that feeling their fans will have will be very similar to mine in 2011 although for some of their really old boys it would be even better. I won’t begrudge them that……IF they play well and deserve it.

If we put in another shitshow to add to the many this season then I might feel differently.

It’s 50/50 this game for me.

It's an odd one. I don't like the fact we have been resting this week. It doesn't feel necessary when our schedule has been so relaxed compared to usual campaigns. Feels like a week we needed to be completely drilled on what is required for the final and to ensure we come out ready to go from the start and aren't lethargic from a lack of training.

I would hope we aren't dismissing the FA Cup and prioritising the league/Club World Cup instead. The money at stake in both is much greater. There's not much time to rest otherwise...

We will see come Saturday. We know how Palace will play, there's not much that will shock us there so maybe a rest and then a few sessions on how to beat them is all that's needed.
