Crystal Palace (N) | FA Cup Final | Post Match Thread

People crying about the Henderson no decision - yes its a very bad call

But its an excuse....we didnt deserve to win that game - end of. The team isnt good enough anymore. A real lack of quality in all areas of the pitch and we have become so use to winning the fans just seem to think its going to carry on with no matter who is on the pitch - most of that team that started today are not high enough quality for a number of reasons

Just spent an hour rummaging around in the loft, but YES!!!!!! I've found it......

It'll come in handy next season.

Oooh, does yours have Peacock on the back too?

Really happy for Palace as they wanted it more and got something they never thought was possible.

My beef is with officiating and THAT decision. We should challenge it, and keep challenging it until the officials are satisfied defending it on live TV. It was so bonkers I still can’t begin to even understand how anyone could begin to justify any other decision than an instant red. We should keep pushing… make them sweat as we all know it was corrupt.

Doku, O'Reilly and others had the goal in their sights but took too many touches Instead of shooting, while both Haaland after five minutes and Echeverri near the end should have scored. And regardless of the handball by the keeper it sounds a bit raggish complaining City would have won if only Palace had ten men. They won with their only shot but with the best move of the match

Of course it's a poor VAR decision - better team still won.

Enjoy the night Palace - way overdue!*

*Yes, very easy to say when I'm not fighting my way out of Euston this evening. Stay safe blues..............
Your right..

But the decision not to give anything for handball by the keeper outside the box is a game-changer
He doesn't save the pen or the Doku shot, Also, Palace would be down to 10 men and a forward coming off

Such a frustrating game. We were clearly the better side and created plenty of chances. Conversely, Palace sat ten behind the ball and looked for the odd counter. We have faced it enough now to know that we must move the ball more quickly and use the direct option. We missed a penalty and we should have been playing against ten men for a long period. It was as frustrating as it gets which is why I will ignore all of the demonisation of Pep and the players that will follow in the immediate aftermath. This has just not been our season, after years of unbroken and unparalleled success. It was always going to come, but its suddenness is a shitter.

A sad end to the Pep dynasty, all on the club World Cup and CL qualification now to save our season
Wouldn't suprise me if we got out in the group stages, alot of these boys are going to want there summer holidays and time to party! We ain't getting far in this CWC.

It’s fucking pathetic anti football…

It’s no better than Wimbledon and the like booting it long..

People getting giddy in the media because Southampton and Palace have humbled the evil empire..

Who’s going to pay £60 or £70 a ticket to watch that shit.

I despise Klopp and the dippers as much as anyone but his method was capable of blowing that approach away, a peak Klopp team puts 4 or 5 past them today.

I’m not advocating we go that way but we do need to learn some lessons.
Well we might have scored a few if the pen had gone in. No excuses

Great post. Any one on here praising Palace should give their head a wobble.

Congratulations to Crystal Palace. Their victory was fully deserved on the day. Glasner obviously learnt from his mistake of going to a back four in the recent defeat at Etihad.

There were too many bad decisions today,,especially Erling giving the ball to Omar for the penalty, but also Nico deciding not to shoot, when he had a golden opportunity in front of goal. I’m not singling the young lad out, because there were plenty of other chances that went begging, but his is one that I remember.

Palace did what Palace do; they defended well and hit us on the break. Eze took his goal well and we had no reply.

Seriously only one team interested in playing football! If you like defensive shit like that go and watch some other team.
If you think that was a dull cup final for the neutral you don't know much about football. It had a bit of everything.

Ps i've been watching City since 1980 i'm not going to pick another team now but thanks for the advice.
