Ah right so that's it then, £50m straight down the drain for being frustrated with being taken off.

What happened to the club doing all of their due diligence on a player before signing him?

Not having that at all, that could easily have been quashed after the game.
Yes another average signing. Stop signing great players and eventually you stop being a great team

You wouldn’t bring Gonzalez on when you need a goal.

To be honest I think he will be another huge waste of money. We are getting very good at this. Probably spent £300m in the last 2 seasons on squad quality players.
My thoughts exactly. In the brief cameo displays I've not seen any qualities of what is required for a premier league title challenging side.

Even when we was linked with him I had a quick look at his performances at Porto and was underwhelmed then.

Our transfers window performances lately are in tandem with our performances on the pitch.

Impossible for a fan to judge a player if he's not getting minutes. It's arguable the most critical role within the team and he must be making a pigs ear of it in training

I remember seeing a 'highlights' reel of him and there were lots of cushioned passes that an average 12 year old could make ha.
Hopefully he'll be an asset to us next season

I remember a few journalists saying we had a panic January window and at first I thought fuck off, but it's looking that it was the case. Pep obviously doesn't rate three of them, and the jury is still out on Marmoush

Mental this guy has not played every game since he joined us. Pointless buy & deserves better than being sat on the bench

Should’ve bought Wharton. At least he is HG and left footed. This guy was just an act since he played in the Portugese league and is Spanish. Most likely the 4th choice behind Ederson and others.
Once Rodri is back he won’t ever start

Sounds wise after the event but I was the same at the time.

He also seems too busy telling others where to go then be there himself.

If we wanted to buy him, could have brought 1st Jan.

The fact we brought him at the end says everything.

We signed him coz we were desperate for a defensive midfielder, we're still desperate but he ain't getting a look in, I'd love to be behind the scenes for one day to gauge what the fuck is going on.
Do Porto have a buy back on him :)

Still shouldn't completely write this one off but if he has pissed off Pep then it is a long road back into contention or in Kalvin Phillips case no way back. He does have some ability and there is not a chance all our signings would bed in straight away after signing them mid-season so we should completely dismiss their worth either.

Our transfer business over the last two seasons has been unfathomably bad. You don't spend £50m on a central midfielder, a position that has fucked us this season, and then not play said £50m midfielder. Unless of course you think he isn't up to it; nothing else makes any sense.

Screams panic buy, I thought that in January and now I'm certain of it.
