Agreed and have said the same repeatedly. I do think some are blinded by loyalty just like Pep with Gundo and De Bruyne when everyone else sees it for what it is. These guys will never be any better than they are now

I think its really hard to compare eras. Coz in parts of that era, we had the best teams, and beat teams with better individuals consistently.

Now we are in an wra where we need the best individuals at almost every position ro overcome other teams.

Just a different level of coaching in my opinion.

Doku is a YouTube footballer. All the tricks in the world but the end product of Jesus Navas. He's the most unlike Pep signing ever

Agreed and I am a firm believer in never going back but Sane on a free walks into this team and is many levels ahead of Marmoush, Doku and Silvio.

Not saying we should be after him at all but I'm watching Everton and they've mentioned that Ndiaye has scored 11 goals for Everton...

Says it all about our wide players. Doku has (3), Savinho has (1) and Grealish has (1). Ndaiye who plays for Everton has double the amount of goals than our three wingers combined.

23 goals and assists this season in his worst season. Averaged a goal or assist every 140 mins.

27 G/A last season and 30 G/A season prior.

Turns up in the big games as well. Multiple goals in CL quarters and semi finals.

Doku and Savio could only ever dream of those numbers.

Guy is one of the best wingers in the game

It wouldn't be too hard to be better than Doku and Savinho so it's nothing to shout home about.

Rodrygo has mustered up 6 goals in 30 La Liga games...Wow.

Let's get things straight, He is far from one of the best wingers in the game, Real Madrid don't sell good players especially a player that's only 24 years old.

It's easy comparing stats to players from other teams to players in our team. They don't play against 10 man defenses every week. Would their stats be the same if they did?

Does Ndiaye play alongside De Bruyne, Foden, Marmoush, Haaland...No he plays alongside Dwight McNeil and Doucoure so that's another argument.

Doku and Savinho have had numerous chances this season on front of goal and both waste numerous amounts of chances.
 
Rodrygo would be an upgrade on our current wingers/forwards but I still believe Doku and Savinho can come good for us.

For all of his shortcomings, Doku is invariably our most dangerous player when he features.

Oddly willing to give Savi another look with a summer under him but ive lost all patience with Doku who appears to have nothing but pace and a stutter step yet passes and shoots like he wears his boots on the wrong feet.

Seems like there comes a point where most any coach would find a way to adjust to playing v. 10 at the back instead of choosing to blindly and naively contine to try to pick the same lock with the same bent rusty wrong keys expecting it to just pop open.

I think Pep has phoned it in since late last year. Hes always been stubborn but he's also always had a sharper more able team to warrant that stubbornness. I know he's had issues off the field so im not throwing him to the wolves.

Madrid have sold plenty of players that had great careers at great clubs else where.

You are moving the goal post. I get it you personally don't like him.

If i say i want a player as a backup, why would you assume that means 'World Class' or potential World Class.?

Again, this speaks to coaching. If we need World Class backups to be successful.

Yes! I saw him slow down play too because he was debating whether to attack 2 players or pass back. This is still primarily a system issue.

I like the analogy. Issue is, we only have one big gun at the moment. He's not gonna be accurate with all the rounds we give him, so we need more guns.

Remember when we had Aguero, Sterling, Sane, Mahrez, prime Kev, all contributing 15+ goals over a season? Even as far back as Mancini; we had Aguero, Dzeko, Yaya, Silva, all of them hitting double figures. I'd happily sacrifice this possession obsession for a much more clinical squad of players that play faster, transition football.
