What do you think stopped those people who signed up to create an atmosphere from actually making any noise at all?
We’re not on our own here. Most fans of all prem teams are pretty similar. Palace are a bit of a one-off though, so Why are they a one off? I reckon it’s because that group of fans must have some massive extraordinary personalities to organise what they do. That is not to say 1894 group don’t have totally dedicated blue bloodied fans dedicating their time to create the best atmosphere which must be some task. But I’m sure hundreds of fans at City would love to be part of a more ultra experience? And yes you’re right , those that don’t join in singing can pi55 right off with their opinions on improving the atmosphere.

Not being funny but have you been to Palace away in the league? Other than 20 ‘ultras’ in a corner banging a drum, it’s dead. It was their big day out, it happens.

That’s not true is it.

For a start they have far more than 20 Ultras.

And they are located in the middle of the lower tier of their home end.

I think you are talking about Arenal’s Ultras, who did number about 20 today, and are located to the left side of the goal, at the front of the stand.

Ultras. It's line dancing. I would rather watch in silence.

You did on Saturday, if you went?

That certainly didn’t help or inspire the City team. Haaland throwing his arms up in air to the City fans to back and support the team.

Why is it so hard to give the Palace Ultras some credit?

Other fans give our away support credit and we lap it up on here.

Yet some of us on here can’t give the Palace Ultras some credit because they use a drum, etc.

So Haaland wanted ‘ultra’ like support? If he did perhaps stepping up and banging in a penalty would have helped?
Ultras …. Ffs

Fans of most clubs at that end of Wembley don't normally turn up.

Stood in the baking sun, whilst the other end of Wembley is nice and cool in the shade.
It really was brutal. Maybe it sounds like an excuse but even with sunglasses I could barely see anything and had to duck out a few times to get my 65 year old Dad some water.

Same here. Was roasting in the sun, plus with all the smoke from that bollocks before the game I couldn’t see what was happening at the far end.

£125 for that.

Should’ve built the fucking thing north to south, or at least close the roof.

I was above the singing section for the semi, thought they did a brilliant job of keeping the songs going, I think the price of tickets probably put many off and they bought cheaper tickets, totally understandable but didn't help the atmosphere yesterday. I tip my hat to the 1894 and their efforts to improve the atmosphere and try not be critical of anything they try. If everyone had the enthusiasm of the 1894 group the ground would be rocking.

Oh, stop arguing the toss, you know well what Haaland wanted, he wanted the City fans to support and get behind the team, whilst all he and we could hear was the Palace Ultras and the other Palace fans singing constantly throughout the game, even before Palace scored their goal.

There was no support from City fans long before and after the penalty miss. We didn’t get behind the team or help them, regardless of how they were playing.

We don't need ultras or whatever you want to call them, but we were completely out done by Palace. It helps that it's coordinated with one section leading on the songs. It helps that the songs are simple and easy to hear.

Our away support is one of the best in the country. Palace didn't even sell out at ours last month, so no need to get carried away. We were particularly poor.

When their second was disallowed I thought we would ramp it up. It was a lifeline for us and we are usually pretty good when it's backs against the wall. But whether too much drink or too much recent success, it was so flat. Even an attempt by Haaland to ramp up the crowd was ignored. A shame it was as flat as it was. More youngsters getting season tickets will help, there will be a lot of younger lads who can take over the mantle and maybe the new North Stand gives them the chance... Big maybe on that even with what the club have suggested recently.

Stop arguing the toss? What you on about? I don’t want our main striker, the main man, waving his bleeding arms about, I want him to put the ball in the back of the bloody net!!

It's shit mate. Embarrassing. If City go that way I will stop going.
