Bernardo Silva: “Something has to change. You learn who you can go to war with, first of all"

Daft? Absolute shit comment, and can only think it’s there as a wind-up.
I suspect it was a take on our constant moving the ball side to side rather than forward, and not a go at Bernardo although PB would need to confirm that. Besides, have you seen the depth of the trenches they dug, the little bugger would never get up there.

Moany. Think what is more important than the context of his quotes, is the timing. And when he said it vs when it was published. But it is still a pretty damn poor show, and he has gone right down in my book. He's done a yaya. Cancelo at least kept his mouth shut.
Nonsense, he is a player that loves this club, he cares and he doesn't like what he sees. We have to win the next 2 games, the way we have played the last 2 not a chance for me and I get Bernardo feels the same. Hopefully this gets the dressing room beef out in the open.

Could also be aimed at the Premier League, slagging him off when no one has a clue who its aimed at ?
It is not aimed at the PL or the referees though is it. I get why people would wish to believe that. But is aimed at fellow players and/or the manager or both.

I rewatched the final and I was harsh on a lot of our players, but Silva was more active in around the Palace penalty area this game than he has in any other game this season for me! He was everywhere trying to make something happen, but like we seemed to do this season, we played too slow, players holding on to the ball way too long when the pass was there to play!

FFS he's been fighting and leading in the trenches since the day he walked through the door. We have run the little fella into the ground but NEVER question this man's commitment.
Cowardly cloaked moaning about his team and/or manager is more than enough to question his commitment. Particularly when it is an excuse for his invisibility trick this season.

It’s the end of a bad season and on the back of a bad loss and a couple of games against much lower clubs where we seemed to be incapable of scoring or taking our chances he’s had something to say.

As one of the players asked to do the hard miles and some of the dirty work, he clearly feels he has a right to have a few words… and I’m sure it’ll elicit more!

He does not deserve the disrespect concerning his game. Say what you want about him speaking out, but it is an absolute joke to denigrate his game.
I have been frustrated by his game all season. And regularly questioned why he is on the pitch. Out of respect for his apparent personality though, and some bit of loyalty, I wouldn't say negative things about him or our other players (or manager) that have done so much for the club previously.

Now he has shat on his personality and loyalty.

Is he dead to you now?

:)

Bournemouth pre-match meeting:

Melchett Guardiola:
Field Marshal Haig Soriano has formulated a brilliant new tactical plan to ensure final victory in the field.

Blackadder Bernardo:
Ah. Would this brilliant plan involve us climbing out of our trenches fannying around midfield and walking very slowly towards the enemy?

Captain Darling de Bruyne:
How could you possibly know that, Bernardo? It's classified information!

Blackadder Bernardo:
It's the same plan that we used last time and the seventeen times before that.

Melchett Guardiola:
Exactly! And that is what is so brilliant about it! It will catch the watchful Hun defence totally off guard! Doing precisely what we've done eighteen times before is exactly the last thing they'll expect us to do this time! There is, however, one small problem.

Blackadder Bernardo:
That everyone always gets slaughtered in the first ten seconds counter-attack.

Melchett Guardiola:
That's right. And Field Marshal Haig Soriano is worried this may be depressing the men a tad. So he's looking for a way to cheer them up.

Blackadder Bernardo:
Well, his resignation and suicide seems the obvious choice.

Shocking take on a legendary player.
Just remember those early minutes against Chelsea on Khusanovs debut, the way Bernardo took responsibility for the team and helped out his teammate was magnificent.
Maybe look at a 500 k a week striker scared to take a pen, or a 100m flop who is more worried about his next drink and not care about the club that invested do much on him.
