Watching him after the game holding up the 1 more game sign to the fans etc. doesn’t feel like someone who is expecting to leave anytime soon.

Think we have moved onto the Milan guy instead

I agree, and it’s not only how we mould him, it’s also how opponents play against us versus how they play against Forest. The idea of an energetic, tenacious no.8 who links well with the other forward players is a good one, but we’d also be taking a huge gamble because we don’t have any evidence to say whether or not he can do it in the conditions we face on the pitch.
 
I'd be very supportive of this signing. A talented player with the right attitude. We need people who will fight to win games, there's been a real lack of character this season and that winning mentality is vital. He wears his heart of his sleeve, gets stuck in and has a lot of quality. Sort of player who would run through brick walls to drag his team to victory and I think he'd come to us and back himself to perform.

Agree with this, but also need to acknowledge how difficult it is to find players who are used to playing against the systems we come against.

That applies to pretty much every signing, including Wirtz.
 
I think what we have missed from Rodri is more than just his ability. It’s his drive and made others around him put that extra effort in.
Bernardo did that too but his recent comments suggest some are not going with him.
MGW adds that drive too.
We need 3 or 4 of that type of player imo
