Jack Grealish told 'time is up' and to leave Manchester City'time is up' and to leave Manchester City

He looks in good shape in both pics just got longer hair and a glum expression in the second one. I think he's getting the late 20s Hazard syndrome where being booted to fuck week in week out has finally taken a toll, consistent niggles that never go away.

Nothing to do with his refuelling habits?

Whenever I hear/see speculation on Gibbs White I remember his play acting to get Rodri sent off and think "Do we want someone like that in our team?".

Everyone does the same if an opponent is dumb enough to put their hands in your face. It's just what football is nowadays. I doubt Rodri has been stewing on it for nearly 2 years.

£20m would cover the amortisation of his transfer fee. Who’s gonna pay his £350k a week?

By getting Cancelo'ed what I mean is City won't care if they have to loan him out and pay half his wages. He's gone. Having said that I'm fairly confident that his agency will find a permanent move for him. With the World Cup in 2026 it's in their interests to find a buyer.

Far worse has been said on this forum about our players and managers, for far less.

Some posters seem to be held to higher standards. Kind of like a few of us (myself included) seem to be doing with Bernardo.
To be honest you have been a right **** with your comments, and yes i expect better from you.

Think it's overplayed tbh, he'd have been moved on ages ago if he was turning up hungover to every training session.
There was a point during the treble season when if you'd been told there was a drunken City player in the headlines, you'd have been as daft as a brush not to predict 1. Jack Grealish, 2. Kyle Walker and 3. Phil Foden.

We'd seen City merchandise with Grealish absolutely demolished on the treble parade. He was the one who took it further than anyone else. He doesn't seem to learn his lesson so you can only surmise that he prioritises his partying over staying at the very top of the sport. Anyway, I think there's a reason why he's not done a lot for us over the last two seasons and don't want to spend the next hour debating whether or not he likes a drink a little too much or not.

Who's doing that, his teamates ? It's not opponents, because he rarely gets on the pitch.

Has hardly been fit to play 3 games in a row since the treble season, he took some punishment then given the instructions he had to hold onto the ball and win fouls and he was always targeted for rough house treatment at Villa aswell.

He's not been right since he went off against Copenhagen last season for me.

I'm sure we can dream up a few scenarios where it won't work, but in the main if we're talking about Pep/City, I would imagine Khaldoon would back Pep over any player in the squad. Including Haaland. Whilst it might be lost on a few people, Khaldoon and the owners have Pep to thank for making City a global footballing superpower over the last 8 years. There's no Haaland without Pep etc.

Fair enough. I get the loyalty to Guardiola due to the past and why that is important from a personal point of view. I was just wondering which would win out if Haaland's team were to become frustrated. Guardiola because he can bring players in for the next year or two or Haaland because he can bring sponsors in for the next nine years.

Jesus wept. The team is malfunctioning. We've got wingers who either aren't ready yet or never will be, we've got a centre forward who talks every few weeks about not being good enough this season but doesn't do anything about it, our talisman who is clearly over the hill, last season's player of the year who for whatever reason has fallen off a cliff, a full back and captain who decided halfway through the season that the fight wasn't for him and went off into a mid-table Italian club, a goalkeeper who seemingly can't be arsed anymore, a record signing that is more arsed about tipping ale down his throat than staying fit and fighting for his place, and yet an absolute work horse who has carried on regardless whilst Rome burns around him is the last player you'd go to war with?
He has been crap this season and most summers since his arrival he has sought a move elsewhere. He has been professional no doubt but someone keen to jump ship consistently, whilst having his own stinker of a season makes him one of the many players I would not go to war with yes.

I have, haven't I?

Shit does get to me, and off the back of the southampton performance, the handball non-decision, the defeat, and then the negativity on here - something had to give and the timing of the comments broke the camel's back of wrath.

If anyone can appreciate things being taken out of context or repackaged, so happy to assume I was at least partly wrong for now. Till there is more that comes out.

I feel for Jack. He comes across as hungry and motivated. Isn't getting a chance out at all but when he does come on, i've not seen any huff, and i've seen him contribute more than Foden. Both in individual games and over the season.

But it is clear Both have pissed Pep right off.
How many goals has Jack scored this season compared to Phil.

Next season the players who have not performed won’t suddenly change.

It’s vital we start the process of moving them on. Should have started last season.

If not another year of talk talk talk after yet another half arsed performance.

I know pep was saying that maybe we need a bigger squad but I’m not so sure how. It generally don’t work and you have players not interested and the trouble starts.

We won’t have the same amount of injuries. Think we are stacked in some areas and weak in others already.

This reset is badly needed.

One of those summers was before the treble season. He's given his everything to this club. He fancied a bit of sun, got told he could leave if a decent bid was received, and when one didn't, he knuckled down and ran himself into the ground for the cause. There's a multitude of reasons why he hasn't had a great season this time round and most of it hasn't been his doing.
