I’m absolutely shattered. I really believed, right up until the final moment, that it was happening…that he was going to wear our shirt, play in our stadium, become one of us. I’ve never wanted a player this badly. That’s why I’ve been in this thread for months, day in and day out, pushing, hoping, convincing myself and others that we were going to pull it off.

I don’t even know what to say right now. I’m genuinely sorry if I gave anyone false hope or built up your expectations. I wasn’t trying to mislead… I just had complete faith in our board to get this over the line. And to see it all collapse like this… it’s heartbreaking.

Let’s stick together now. We’re still fans of the same club. We still want what’s best for it. And even though this one slipped away, we have to look forward, regroup, and find the next best alternative. But yeah…this one hurts. Deeply.

His little visit to us last week made me think we had a chance but i suspect he was always signing for Bayern. Maybe he used that visit to get Bayern to move a bit quicker and pay what he wants.

Pep will stay here 2 years max and it’s not the team from 2 years ago + . Munich has a good squad too and it’s his country and he can play with Musiala. Honestly I don’t know how Musiala and Wirtz are going to work since both play the same position but each their own . Munich’s dream of FC Deutschland is back on the way

Was thinking earlier how big the drop off is currently with this squad. Now KDB is leaving, who out of this current squad could we describe as absolute elite? Rodri absolutely pre ACL, Haaland (that is being questioned a lot by many people), Foden if he can get back to last years form, Ruben maybe. Thats about it. The next David Silva, KDB, Yaya is nowhere to be seen. Sadly Wirtz was a big chance to set us up for the next 6/7 years and we've missed out again.

Ruban Dias isn’t elite mate more like a good defender. As for next season maybe we just make sure centre mid is secure with the Dutch guy and Rodri back and we have foden the argie kid who could be anything but I think our wingers aren’t upto much either and that’s where we should strengthen .

If that kid was dying to play for us then it would be happening. If he wants to play for another club then it’s the correct decision for us to pass. You can only entice the uninterested through overpaying, which we don’t want to do.

Sorry but this feels like a lot like the story of Bellingham and Liverpool. He rejected us but we came out with a PR statement. Its fine though, every club in the world gets rejected by a player

Still a couple of signing getting back in our flow and it is not too long ago we were at our peak.
