It’s Quiet 20 - What is the Wirtz that could happen?

Anyone think Peps new team is more like Klopps Liverpool? Like the players we are linked with are not that great technically apart from Wirtz, but are more of a high work rate energy and produce numbers. Similar to the dippers midfield under Klopp. Gibbs white feels like a signing Klopp would want, similar to Reijnders high work rate and produce numbers.

Reijnders i genuinely think would be world class in our team with Rodri. I`m still not in the camp of thinking Wirtz comes here to be honest but for the first time it seems the hard bit is done with the fee being verbally agreed but not the player side?

I think those linked they are very good technically, mixed with the energy, for me more like slots liverpool than Klopps, and even more like PSG than liverpool.

We really need to get back to the high press style from a few years ago so I’m happy with this.

We’ve been better in that regard in recent weeks (until Saturday) thanks to the false 9, but Haaland’s lack of mobility means he needs high energy, mobile players around him to run the press.

Our front line was excellent at this in the treble run, but we haven’t got the legs now. Marmoush, Foden, MGW & Reijnders behind Haaland would bring it back.

The game is changing.

Full on Tiki-Taka is becoming outdated and figured out.

Also, we have got to adapt to the new type of player coming through in this generation which is very much pace and power.

Not many diminutive, silky number 10s and 8s in the game anymore.

More and more old school type CF's coming through as well.

I had a text message yesterday from someone. Works in the media rather than the club. But he reckons that Citys summer budget presuming CL qualification and 115 expected verdict is four hundred million quid.
That would include fees, agents, wages etc. So Wirtz at £150m would probably take £200m out of the budget all in. But still, its a monumental amount of money available if we decide to use it.

Can see doyle and mcatee leaving and bringing in about £45m, which would be all profit for PSR
