I agree on O'Reilly sleeping on Munoz's run, but Akanji could've been much more aggressive in stepping to the ball before Eze. Going to ground would've been overkill and could've resulted in a penalty, but at least go shoulder to shoulder with Eze and do what you can to keep him from getting onto the end of it.

I think that's being overly critical, sometimes you have to credit a superb goal. The ball, timing of the run and finish was spot on, akanji wasn't 5 yards away napping he was on him eze just got that split second jump from having the advantage of training together and knowing where the balls going to go before it's played.

I thought the goal was more O’Reilly than Akanji. He should have thrown himself at that cross. He isn’t a left back.

I thought he looked really tired second half and whilst he has been great, I think we are the one game too many for him now and he shouldn’t play tomorrow or at Fulham.

Other teams know he's not a defender who is still trying to learn how to be one, sadly you don't get to learn on the job hassle free at this level though. every manager we come up against will have designed their gameplan around capitalising on his lack of defensive nous if he plays. Take him out of the firing line use him in the club world cup and decide if he's going to get a shot in midfield or not, if not, he gets the summer to learn how to defend.

You don't know that. Their manager is obliged to go for it. Their tactics now have to be to go for the 3 points whereas prior to the BHA win they might have settled for a point.

They've drawn away at Aston Villa and Chelsea. They've beaten Newcastle and Arsenal.

Liverpool beat them 3-0 at Anfield and now they've to play us tomorrow.

Yeah I think we did. He had been pivotal in us getting there so deserved a chance but it was risky and so it proved.

We really need to sign two proper full backs who can help the attack but know how to defend too.

I thought he was a breath of fresh air when he came on, The substitution was obviously strange due to making a debut in an FA Cup Final but Echeverri performance was really good, He offered something different and played without fear. It was nice to see.
