Why hasn't anyone already bought him at such a low price?

What's his work rate like?

Is he likely to cause off field issues?

As someone who has only seen him do a couple of fancy flicks and tricks on YouTube, those would be my questions.

Exactly

He has a clause in his contract and Lyon are now in financial/administrative meltdown.

reminds me of that Houssem Aouar. Supposed top talent with huge potential - yet Lyon were willing to sell him for like £15million and still there were no takers.

I think its about getting champions league for the Wirtz deal mate but Cherki is rumoured to now have a release clause active of only £20m anyway?

CL will be a big factor but don't think it's the deciding aspect. My point was more along the lines of going deep into a transfer target while losing ground in other more attainable targets. Eg, Bellingham wasn't going to happen (obvious for a long time) but we didn't switch attention to Rice until the last minute

One would hope so. We could have an attack consisting of Bobb, Wirtz, and Cherki, who are all generational talents and on the same technical plane. However, I suspect we are about to venture down the path of athletes over aesthetes.
Bobb has talent for sure, but what makes you think he’s on the same level as those two?

He’s made 16 senior appearances. Those two are starters and stars of their respective sides. They’re all the same age.

Bobb has been developed slowly and, unlike Wirtz and Cherki, was coming through at a higher-level club which had a much stronger midfield/attack. He would have been a significant feature for us this season if he hadn't been injured.

Why hasn't anyone already bought him at such a low price? - Entourage full of bellend advisors.
What's his work rate like? Terrible
Is he likely to cause off field issues? Uncertain, has form for it but not recently.

Im guessing a big reason we havent gone for him is the supposed attitude issues and perhaps more football related, he has probably the worst work rate of all attacking midfielders in europe.

But for 25 mil, cant we bring him in and put him on the bench as a late joker when we need a goal or 2?

Pep doesn’t have the ability to manage somebody with a mentality like that, unlike a Mancini or Mourinho type manager

Have you watched him play this season ?
He’s got 20 assists playing with Lacazette in 2025 do you know how bad his finishing is ?
He’s work rate isn’t bad like a Vini or Mbappe. He can run he just a gets tired quick.
Hazard, Rooney even Ronaldinho weren’t great trainers but guess what ? They produced on the pitch.
He’s got more g/a than all our 4 wingers and attacking midfielders combined. Who cares if he has an ego or ain’t the best trainer ? Good he demand the ball and make something happen cuz he has the confidence. Would you want an amazing trainer who nobody can see what they do and then they don’t do anything in game or a guy who sometime arrives late or don’t run around the pitch like Bernardo but actually produces when you need ? Aguero couldn’t train well but scored 25-30 goals a season. What options are there ?

So you typed all that just dispute which answer I gave him? His pressing is just bad, not terrible?

I think criticising Cherki's pressing needs to be understood in context. Lyon have had 6 managers in the last few years, each with their own preference of who should press and both when and where.
