I think a lot of people would be more excited about this if he wasn’t English and £70m+. Overall a very good player and one of Phil’s closest friends.

Reijnders-Rodri-MGW midfield with Foden/Bobb cutting inside from the RW with an overlapping LB could work wonders

Dare say, thats a PSG-esque setup but with a striker. (and needs a better RB in this mix)
 
Nothing to do with him being English. I still think we can do better and he hasn't really impressed me even with his semi final perfomance. If it was Phil that we were interested in then it would be a different matter.
 
If we go by squad, I'm going to guess this is the Grealish replacement for homegrown quota. Grealish goes Gibbs white comes in as replacement

yeah, the 8-6-8 lineup in the mid three just reminded me of that.

Kerkez will be a help if we bag him, would love Livramento for Jack somehow to set that side as well.

Makes sense then why we’re looking at Wesley ie a RB who’ll look to overlap as opposed to a Cancelo type who’ll drop into a midfield position. Gives us an extra player inside if the RW is a left footer

I think that's the plan tbh.

LB LW ST RW RB in the front 5. Two centre mids under/over lapping with the winger or fullback

Pure guess though, we know how the mad man is.

Said in another thread our best run of form this season came in that system with Nunes and O’Reilly as full backs and McAtee, Marmoush and Kev inside
 
I think we might lineup in a 3-5-2 next season

Defence of Gvardiol - Dias - Akanji
Midfield of Rodri - Gibbs White - Reijnders
Wing backs - Wesley - Kerkez/Cambiasso
Then two up top, Marmoush - Haaland

Would prefer Khus instead of Akanji if we played that system as we will need pace.
