Ah, but they changed their guidelines on Saturday morning without telling anyone ......
 
Pretty poor again, the neck hold on Kev in particular sticks in my mind, along with a non-foul given to Bournemouth where the free kick should have been almost on the touchline close to the corner flag rather than taken by the time wasting keeper in the penalty area.

Time wasting didn't even consider looking at them at it but, as soon as we scored he was all over Eddie scowling.

He did get both reds correct.

He's completely in on goal mate. Similar to the Saliba one v Bournemouth. Once you wrap your arm round a player and they're in on goal the distance shouldn't matter.

Just taking the piss about Saturday when Haaland was bearing down on goal but VAR said he was "going away from goal, so not a clear goal scoring opportunity"
 
Are we ever going to hear anything about that pathetic VAR decision from the cuo final from an official standpoint? Are we really letting them get away with it?

This should be a line in the sand moment. Such a pathetic decision in English football's biggest game. They absolutely knew they had to send Henderson off but they made the conscious decision to not carry out their duties and let him stay on the pitch all because they didn't want to "ruin the occasion".

I know we like to stay quiet in these sort of situations but we really should come out and say something about this. The whole situation was so blatantly wrong.

That pissed me off, it was a 2nd bookable & he should have gone but he made it easy for himself by not giving the foul.

No! We've heard everything we are ever going to hear. Erling was going away from goal so it wasn't an obvious goal scoring opportunity. And anyway a red card would have spoiled the game, and Crystal Palace had never won anything before. So don't be a northern spoilsport. Anyway City are financial cheats, so don't you dare accuse VAR of cheating.

Maybe we'll have it reviewed on Sky, on that Michael Owen hosted show. It's definitely a controversial decision, so it needs an explanation. If it doesn't feature, then I would say it's a cover up.

It was his first City game but he has refereed a few games including Liverpool v Tottenham and a Liverpool Bournemouth game where we have the following comment from Anfield -
"You might remember him — he’s the referee who controversially sent off Alexis Mac Allister in our 3-1 win over Bournemouth earlier this season."

I highly doubt it. It’s a TNT show. I don’t think they’ve ever shown any incidents from any cup games previously.
