The 7-2 against Stoke with a couple of assists, particularly that one for Leroy, that defied belief.

There's too many to list. The one from quarterback position against Southampton for Jesus' last gasp goal in the Centurion season.

This is him in a nutshell though. Heading for defeat away from home, comes off the bench and within 5 minutes he equalises from outside the box and then a worldy of an assist for Bobb in the dying moments. Needed all those 3 points to win the league. Clutch player. This is only last year, but his 'legs gone' apparently. Careful what you wish for.

I was actually half expecting Merson to pop up at the end of the video tributes and say something like yeh he could see it now or the opposite of whatever he originally said when we signed him!

It’s not his most high profile goal but my favourite KDB moment will always be be that left footer he scored at chelsea in Pep’s second season. Chelsea had won the league easily, Pep was being mocked and doubted. It was our first big game of the season and we went to SB and pressed the life out of them, totally bossed the game. I remember saying to my dad “This is the best City performance I’ve ever seen” fairly early on. It was our first proper introduction to the Pep way of playing and we kept missing chances until Kev put that screamer away.

He had run and won a game away against the champions and it represented an introduction to the world of Pep’s City. It marked the beginning of an era.
Went to that game. On the train home everyone seemed in disbelief at the way we'd played. Chelsea were champions at the time.
For me that goal is up there with Kev's thunderbastard in the Bernabeu on the way to the treble

Before our dodgy firestick, we only watched a few games that were on telly, or occasionally in a local cricket club. I remember it exactly as you say because I was expecting to have to console the lad if Chelsea dished out a mauling. The goal was fantastic and had been coming, I saw it as a moment, because the mentality of City was - we're here to win. As someone who's not a City fan I sat up and thought "Blimey this is a shift in power we're seeing right in front of our eyes" Obviously been a very happy time for the boy since then. :-)

That's my favourite KDB memory. When that screamer went in I knew we would win the title. Chavs had a good team in those days ( although they'd robbed us with help from Alty the previous December). Playing them off the park at their own place, I knew we had arrived with Pep.

He's pulled us out of the sh&t so many times, he truly is irreplaceable.

Fucking hell excuse my small geographical inaccuracy. I am Mancunian, and I live in Altrincham, which is in Cheshire. I still feel Mancunian. But let’s be pedantic for no good reason
At least they were born up north and Michelle didn't swan off to the Portland in that there London where most Wags go.

Kudos to her. And such a lovely little family. X

Highlight of the night was his daughter getting a little bored and trying to dig out the centre circle spot :)

The only issue with that is if he goes to somewhere like Villa and helps them gain another 15-20 points a season, we have a problem.

I actually don't think either ilorin, to keep him or to let him go, would have been the wrong option, there are merits in both. He's not going to have the impact he has previously but he will also leave a hole which will cost us in some matches.

In otherwords I don't subscribe to the "he's past it, we need to let him go" theory, UNLESS those same people accept that were probably going to lose out as a result in some matches. It's inevitable - you don't replace a player like Kev overnight.

You don't let a top player go just so you can give them a good send off UNLESS you have a solid replacement. I believe we do, and I believe that player is Oscar Bobb (you can laugh at me at the end of next season), but he'll probably need half a season to get to the required level IF he gets the game time.

You have to be cruel to be kind

KDB can still do it, but not at the ratio that top-level City needs, from 1 in 3 games to 1 in 10 games is a big drop off
Also, playing 3 games in a week will be a problem for KDB.

Somebody is going to get 2 years out of him in Europe, or 3 or 4 in the USA or Saudi Arabia
Playing in the Premier League is so demanding at the top, and fully committed is a young man's game

Who knows? Somebody could come in and take his place and be flying, Pep and City will find out pretty fast and will have to change the system if it goes tits up, I would love to see Claudio Echeverri given a Messi type role in a new system, A player running at the central defenders and slide the ball into Haaland

Nothing more pathetic than geographical pedanticness.

Altrincham is in Greater Manchester not Cheshire btw.
