Looking at the photos of foden and his partner it’s clear he has been investing his money in one particular area.

No wonder she keeps getting pregnant.

Needs our support more than ever. He hasn't turned into a bad player over night. Glad he's felt comfortable enough to discuss his issues, even without detail.

Hopefully he either has a nice break or uses the CWC to regain his form and confidence so he's fit and firing for us next season. He's been around for a long time but is still so young and I'm sure the efforts of the last few years, and the bus he was thrown under in the Euro's were always likely to take their toll.

I think he is right that there are more important things than football sometimes . I have felt that for over four months now since my collapse. A shrink has just explained to me that after a trauma your brain literally switches off things that are not important to aid its survival. You know how much i love city and it has really weird, very normal i am told, time might fix it might not

For a footy mad young player saying there is more important things than playing footy it appears something really bad has happened to affect his mental health, he needs his blue family to support him. We talk about mental health quite a bit on here and rightly am concerned about men not talking about it, he has told us more than he needed to really, we have no right to know his medical problems, all of us have the right to privacy

Get well soon phil xx

Bear in mind that I was flying blind, I'm not rich, and can't pay for the best medical care/chefs money can guy, about 2 years.
I suffered quite badly for a couple of years. I can remember exactly the first time it happened, 14 July 1989, just after my 30th birthday, lasted a day or so and then forgot about it until the next time and gradually it became more frequent at which point it starts to dominate your life. My ‘breakthrough’ came when my sister met a hypnotherapist through work, found out he dealt with IBS and pretty much booked me an appointment without telling me. He lived at the bottom of Atlantic St in Broadheath, was a bit strange and I wasn’t entirely convinced but ultimately it was the best £150 I’ve ever spent.

Do people think there's an illness there, such as Chrons or Colitis which have been rumoured?
The interview only mentions mental health, personal issues and injuries.

Fully believe with Wirtz going elsewhere the number 10 position is Phil’s to make his own next season. Use the club World Cup to regain his form and springboard him into next season! He will be back, form is temporary. Class is permanent

IF he can recapture the form showed last season then fantastic.

He can take on the Kev mantle IMO - no need for a Wirtz, Simons, Olmo etc. if he can come back to the level he was.

If he plays in the CWC he's not getting the proper break from the game that he needs to recharge his batteries.

He'll be back in his own time, but there are no guarantees that he'll be the Phil we saw at his best in 23/24. As such, we need to sign a top class number 10 to make sure that the position is covered.

If Phil comes back at 100%, it's a bonus!

If there’s no Wirtz, I want to see Phil in the 10.
Hopefully, if he is refreshed with Rodri and Reijnders behind him, he could work wonders.

There’s no way he should be playing in a tournament like that to regain form, especially after saying he needs a break

Good move for him. Takes balls to stick your neck out and request not to be included when a new national team manager is still getting settled, but we're still a little while away from the World Cup that he's not putting his standing at risk if he takes a break.

Could also be that he's saving face for not getting selected anyway given his form, but I kid.

He will never become the player you thought he would be. I don't know why the fans don't accept the fact(academy bias) He will never reach the level of D.Silva or KDB, so you should not think that he can be the main playmaker and an unquestionable first team player. A good squad player and that's it.

Something like Gundogan was when KDB and Merlin were at their peak. (2016-2020)

I think you’re being harsh, he’s very poor creatively, but he’s still got great close control and a brilliant shot on him when he’s in form. In a functional team, that controls the game, with top signings, he’ll be brilliant cutting in from the right, something like
DM Rodri
DM Reijnders?
RW Foden
CAM Wirtz?
LW Rodrygo?
CF Haaland

breaking? this was reported yesterday.

good idea to miss the England games, as in this form he would have two very poor games, if played at all and just get more doubt creep into him plus media would talk about it...

if this mental issue is serious him and the club need to agree o some fake injury and keep his out of CWC too. no idea if this is something he can get out of by the time of next season starts. we need him but the version form 23-24 not this Foden.

actually any player going to CWC should not be pulled into internationals. for Englands its one WC qualifier Andorra and one friendly vs Senegal. these are the games to try the players who wouldnt be close to the WC squad but have and odd chance.
