I think people are missing this point. We didn't drop out coz he was too expensive. We dropped out because hos tram said NO!He doesn’t want to play for us pal. Let’s just move on
For starters, they are champions. So already a good base. His manager was a Pool player, his buddy is going there and they don't have 115 charges that are yet to be decided hanging over theit heads... And our esteemed manager is leaving in 2 years. While their's just arrived.Don’t understand why he’d want to play for Liverpool but not us. Nor why we didn’t do more to persuade him.
Hopefully he still goes to Bayern.
Maybe this is the pessimism in me but I think their are some serious questions about the board and the executives on how they have done business after the '23 season.
They have had one truly great signing (Gvardiol) since that season. in the summer of '23 they brought in Kovacic, Gvardiol, Doku, and Nunes. Kovacic has been inconsistent at best. I think the jury is still out on Doku, and Nunes was a panic signing to cover for the fact that we couldn't get Paqueta.
In '25 they brought in Savinho and an aging Gundogan, and Gonzalez, Marmoush, Reis, and Khusanov in January. To me those signings have not worked out, but I will give the guys who came in January some more time.
The club cannot afford another window of investing in projects, they need to invest in quality players today, players that can immediately come into this XI and contribute on day 1. There may need to be some faces we like that need to go to make way and ruthless this summer

I think it would be naive in the extreme to think that the charges wouldn't be a huge issue for some players.They have either got complacent or the 115 charges are an issue for some players? Pep’s demeanor imo hasn’t helped either

Definitely.100%. As a player you are going to be taking the word of the club and trust it.
If I was a player and didn't support City, but they were interested in signing me along with other top clubs, I would definitely be questioning if it's the right move.
It's a noose around our neck right now and a decision needs to be made asap.
Everyone may as well pack up and not bother next season, coming from the reaction to people regarding Wirtz.
