You've obviously put a lot of thought into that but I suspect it's going to be miles off what happens with regards to incomings and outgoings. Also what about Walker, Phillips, Bah, Reis?

Do you really think we'll go into the season with injury prone Ake and very young/inexperienced Khusanov and JSP as the only back-up at CB (and nobody who can cover RB)?

I know you've probably just tried to come up with some way of accommodating players that you'd like us to sign but I think you're going to be very disappointed if that's what you're hoping for.
 
Amazed how many people don’t want to put Dias in their starting 11. He’s not had a good season but he’s our best CB when on form by a mile

I just don't buy into the idea of us playing 4-2-2-2 either. Pep has done what he's had to in order to improve results with the players available. This summer we're back to operating in his ideal world and that will be the 4-3-3. We'll see flexibility and adaptability within that structure but he'll want the same possession dominant control that has always been his philosophy and always will be.

People seem to think he's going to suddenly play a more dynamic style, I just don't see it. We might have more natural full backs but again, I don't think they're going to be like Kerkez who will swing the ball in early and be aggressive with his passing. It's much more likely to be someone who retains possession and can invert.

4222 wont work with Haaland in the mix, he's a static target for CBs, no need to follow the false #9s etc imo

Yea this is beyond dream mode this is a fantasy. It took me quite a while, mainly because of the system. I can’t really think of a system that would suit us and that won’t leave us with too many weaknesses.

I’m interested to see what the club comes up with. Don’t worry I’m not expecting this. I always keep those low. I expect Gundo and Bernardo to stay, only 3 players coming in. And maybe just Kev Grealish Stones and Ederson to leave.

I expected Walker to go to Saudi, Phillips barely crosses my mind he can go to Turkey or something, Bah would stay on loan but to a club that hopefully doesn’t play with 3 at the back, need him to play every game and take over for Dias/Akanji the following season. Reis would be loaned out because Pep simply doesn’t rate him, he should go to Sporting or Strasbourg. Somewhere physical.

I honestly don’t think we have enough centre backs but it’s a sticky one innit. You keep Akanji then he’ll always play, we can’t afford to sign a new one, Bah and Reis have never played for us, I heard Pep will use the academy and JSP was the first defender to win Player of the season in PL2 so who knows

How come there’s English tax for everybody else but our players ? We’re paying crazy cash for MGW lol I’m sure we can scam someone into paying a lot for a 21 year old who worked under Pep, played for England and won trophies.

Because they are either old and injury prone ( Stones), haven’t done shit in the last years with crazy wages ( Grealish) or haven’t done anything special individually ( McAtee, Lewis).
No club will pay anything near 60M for Rico Lewis.
comparing MGW to rico Lewis is a joke anyways.
No one cares if he played under pep.
Lewis got more exposed than impressed in the PL.
United has a similar problem. Their English players are on crazy wages so they can’t expect much beside Mainoo

We will have (subject to loans/sales) Diaz, Gvardiol, Ake, Stones, Akanji, Khusanov, Reis and Bah. That's 8 and IMO too many. Some are injury prone and not the youngest, so will be difficult to move on. Others are younger/inexperienced and may possibly be loaned.

Reis has played, although just the once, and played well enough. Looked very strong in the air and good on the ball but not the quickest from what I remember.

As you say, it will be interesting to see how the squad develops. I might be wrong but it wouldn't surprise me if Viana and Guardiola see that quite differently.

Based on what exactly? At this moment do you leave Dias, Akanji or Gvardiol out for him?

Because MGW is invaluable to Forest ad their best player whereas Rico isn't invaluable to us

You pay more for key players, key players for mid clubs aren't key players for us

What are you talking about ? Idk about you but Dias hasn’t been in great form for a long while now. Over 18 months. Akanji is a squad player. He shouldn’t be starting every game. Gvardiol is great at CB but you realise he’s completed 44 90 min games. That’s insane and we’re lucky he’s not injured. But who’s to say he doesn’t get injured ? You need to manage these players so you don’t end up with another Rodri situation
