Keepers and defenders we have good depth, in the midtfield the dept is worring, since we dont have good option as a world class playmaker to take the spot to KdB if hes form is lacking and getting older, se we need suitable replacement for him now that can learn from him and take his place, Ilkay Gundogan contract is expering after this season and Bernardo Silva situastion is unclear in long run, not season to season.
City need at least two new midtfielders that can have an imminent impact on the game and can replace KdB when needed without hurting the tactics and game flow. Strikers are covered for now but will be a crisis if an long therm injury accurs on one or both players, and F9 is just an emergency option.
Wingers lack good depth and aging Mahrez that plays good once in a while is not good enough.
Long therm depth can be good depen if the players can take the step up and play for A-team, the club should use homegrown/CFG/Akadamy much more, give them more trust and suddently you have your own Alexander-Arnold etc.

Not many option out there?
Jude Bellingham
Martin Ødegaard
Enzo Fernandez
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic?
Frankie de Jong?
Ruben Neves
Youri Tielemans?
Rafael Leao

Your opinions?

Could definitely use a more explosive left winger, but to make inverted wingers fully work, we also need to sign a rapid left footed left back that could go on the overlap. Kvaratskhelia and Theo Hernandez would be my ideal signings (although the latter is quite unrealistic). Seems like Walker will be replaced by Cancelo and Lewis, both inverted full backs. On the long term I’d think we also need a right footed RW to keep width in the team. Doku seems like a very interesting prospect, if he can add to his end product he could be one of the best wingers in the world

I’ve no problem with selling Zinchenko for the fee we did as at the end of the day he wanted to leave. But replacing him with Gomez is proving to be a shocking decision. Gomez is so bad that Pep daren’t even play him any more. Very definition of a waste of space. We’re now stuck playing centre backs at full back due to our actual full back signing not being trusted to play and Cancelo being in woeful form.
