The only two to worry about with that are Gvardiol and Haaland.

Everyone else has either been out so much this season and barely played that they need to get as many minutes in their legs as possible to get back to full fitness and the CWC couldn’t come at a better time, or they’re new players who haven’t been bedded in yet so the CWC couldn’t come at a better time to get them more involved and used to the way we play.

next one in 2029 and we need to be either CL winners in 2026, 2027, 2028 or keep our coeff points quite high in the 4 year ranking (like best in England) if I understand it right. unless there will be two another English CL winners who take both slots available for English sides.

problem is our coefficient this season is pure shit compared to previous seasons so we need to outperform others in England next 3 seasons otherwise we might not be in top2 for the 4-year ranking.

not ideal given the schedule and lack of time for players to relax but if we are in it we should go for it and prize money looks great almost CL level prizes while half of the teams of 32 are Conference league level sides or even worse.
take the money from CWC and spend it on the squad.

My biggest question coming out of that article...

Why is Infantino - supposedly a serious establishment figure - being interviewed by some edge lord kid who makes rape jokes and who has made a habit of getting into fights with actual fans at stadiums and events all over the world? Could there be a worse role model for young kids? I find it hard to imagine. Yet here FIFA are promoting him as the next big media star (and they're not the only ones). The guy is an angry, crass moron with no redeeming features.

Frankly, if some club wants to sign Ronaldo on a 6 month contract so he can play in the CWC then I've seen worse things happen.
