Probably a game for senior heads, given what’s at stake.

Ederson

Nunes
Dias
Akanji
Gvardiol

Gundogan
Gonzalez

Bernardo
De Bruyne
Marmoush

Haaland

No Kova is a problem especially if we dont start Gonzales as that means Gundo is the 6...and that is not good against teams with pace on the break

Pep could play Rico Lewis and move him into the centre but again that has weakened us in the past.

Will Pep actually play Gonzales tomorrow....I personally hopes he will but I wouldnt bet on it

If Pep doesn’t want a heart attack like last year, better keep Ankaji out of starting 11.
My formation:
Ederson
Nunes Dias Gvadol NOR
Nico G, Silva
Lewis KDB marmooth
Haaland

I’m not sure about Lewis but reckon he is the best option over Foden, Savinho or Gundo.

The big day has arrived. Get a point and we are in the UCL. BUT what happens if we lose to Fulham? We would be ok if one of Newcastle, Chelsea, or Villa dropped points. One can envisage both Newcastle and Villa winning, leaving just Chelsea as our get out. They play Forest and I predict a draw there.
We should, of course, go for a win today so Pep’s selection will be vital. I have no idea which players will be skewered by the darts he throws to pick the team.

Even if we lose, a lot has to go the way of the others for us to fall out.

Newcastle will likely beat Everton, but Villa getting a win at United isn't a formality. Likely, but not as guaranteed like Newcastle at home to Everton.

Chelsea have to beat Forest as well.

I personally think we utterly batter Fulham.

In the press conference, Pep touched on a very important issue related to City's style of play.

Are we witnessing a change in Pep's playing philosophy, which is based on adherence to his timeless principle of adopting an attacking style of play based on possession, passing, and high pressing?

Or is he shifting to a more flexible style based on the principle that the end justifies the means, thus adopting a conservative, defensive approach and using counterattacks to snatch a point or three?

PEP: "If we have to play in a certain way to take a point then I will do it. If that means changing the principles, sitting back and waiting for the transition, playing laying another way to take the point, then I will do it. I promise you I will do it."
Pep: "If I think that's the best way to take a point or the three then I will do it. We have to respect whatever we have to do over the 90 minutes or the 95 minutes.
"For me, my idea is to try to play to win the game. But if we are playing badly or the opponents are playing better than us, then will I change."

What do you think? Is Pep capable of changing his footballing style?

To be honest he’s just annoyed me even more by saying that. By change he doesn’t mean the system, he means being Gundo on…

Re the above, if people want to simply bet that City don't make the top five, then it's just a case of betting against them to make the top five at Betfair. No accumulators needed, just back against them at 1.04 odds. Returns £247.50 for a £10 stake. (£250 less 5% commission, plus your stake).
