Fulham (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Thought we played pretty well first half and created plenty of chances. Should have had more than one really.

2nd half was really quite sloppy with some poor passing and decision making.

Still the 3 points was all that mattered today and as it turns out, we didn't even need a point.

A lot of work and improvement needed for next season though if we're going to mount a serious challenge.

Happy to see Villa missing out. Newcastle can count themselves very fortunate.

We're disappointed in only qualifying for UCL as United finish 15th?

I remember Noel Gallagher - before the fairytale began - on Fantasy Football League saying "Thanks, Dad" ironically for taking him to a City game as a nipper.
And of course, Ferguson "not in my time" when asked whether City would ever go to OT as favourites.

Life's not so bad

Decent game. Gundo, Eddie and Nunes had brilliant games.

Echeverri looks good.
Hopefully see more of him next season.
Hopefully Oscar Bobb gets a good pre season and see more of him too next season.

In December I thought we’d be well short of third place.
Just 3 points behind the Tarquins.

It’s been a shit season and I’m glad it’s over.
Hopefully we get reinforcements in the summer better than the last few summer windows.
Most importantly let’s hope we get a result in the 115 and bury the bastards behind the witch hunt.

We can’t let the dippers get another title.

Job done today

Considered how shit we looked at times this seaso, finishing 3rd is an achievement . We had to grind that out. I felt we really has to grind out the title win the season before but we were heading in the direction we did this season.

Big improvements and good recruitment are needed this summer if we want to get back on track. This season was actually a follow on from the last, despite us getting over the line in the league then. We need to stop the directon we are heading in.

I just hope CL qualification doesn't paper over the cracks like winning the title did last season, otherwise next season will be a bigger struggle.

We need fresh legs with quality and some current players like Phil need to rediscover their great ability.

Let's get it right and be back on top because no club is immune from becoming a shadow of their former selves if they don't recruit and rebuild well

Good perspective, and good luck to Saints next season.

Well done city.

Not a great season but to finish 3rd is by no means embarrassing with the struggles we have endured.

Thank you Kev and good luck.

Special mention to Gundo and Eddie. Nunes and Bernie did good aswell.

A new chapter awaits. Go out and make the tough calls to rebuild the squad.

Even in our absolute worst season under Pep we still came 3rd and only 3 points behind Arsenal. I’ll take that. Let’s break out the checkbook and get the players we need for next season.

Also, thanks for everything Kev. It’s been a pleasure watching you over the past 10 years.

Good win...first 25 - 30 mins we were comfortable and playing well but we got increasingly sloppy after that.

That creative spark isnt there and it must be addressed over summer. ...Doku was wasteful in good positions and Marmoush was also. Haaland doesnt look fit to me either....no where near as dynamic as he usually is.

Great goal by Gundo and won a stonewall penalty

Fulham looked like they were on the beach already so hard to read too much into that game

Barcodes got in by the skin of their teeth.....Villa after all the early season bravado miss out....Karma!

Chelsea scrape in also over forrest.
