Liam Delap

Arsenal would be a good move for him IMO, would get the right service from the centre and the flanks, easy enough to displace the current number 9's as the starter, offers them a different option and puts himself on Tuchels radar for 2026 World Cup if they get there. If his agent is not speaking to lego head they need replaced for me.

Would not mind him back at City but for what? 3rd choice forward and another pathway blocker to, oh lets go with the Heskey's, to the first team opportunities?

Can see why Maresca would want Delap, maybe even McAtee. A few more goals and they'll convert some of those draws into wins and be pushing harder for the title.

He looked good at Ipswich. But, and no disrespect intended to the "Tractor Boys" (banner wankers!), playing regularly for Arsenal, City or Chelsea is a totally different level. At Ipswich, he wasn't coming up against flat back 10s every week. Has he got what it takes to thrive in that scenario? I'm not sure he has. And yes; I appreciate that he'd be playing with better players.

I think he's a good player, but a (drastically) inferior version of Haaland, and as such would solve none of our current problems. I think the primary reason most are interested is because was in the academy.

So good player, but not for us - either stylistically or ability wise IMO. But I might be wrong on the last point seeing the teams sniffing around him. Personally I don't see it though.

He would solve having no Haaland back up in the squad currently!! Marmoush isn't a back up. Plus is club trained (knows the club) which is also an issue for us and is not that expensive so he does come with some benefits.

However, if i was him i wouldn't sign for us under those conditions. He will likely want to play most games which is fair enough. Not sure he suits us 100% either. So I just don't see it happening…
