It's Quiet the £250m return

I thought transfer window always opened June 1st? I was thinking it was open now for cwc teams

In terms of playing styles, Simons has always struck me as more similar to Foden, which is why I've never seen him as necessary, and Cherki has struck me as more similar to Bobb, which is why I've never seen him as necessary either. Desirable, yes, particularly when faced with massed ranks and more capable of threading the needle than anyone, save Bobb, but could we play both?

Be interesting to see who does not board the flight to the USA on June 10th(?). Given what Guardiola said about Foden being expected to go, in spite of his circumstances, anyone not flying is presumably bound for elsewhere.

Isn't he supposed to have a very questionable character to say the least.tge club normally does extensive checks on personality so if that's the case I don't think he would be a target
I have seen some people has said his attitude issues stems from a hunger to win and improve. Which is a bit similiar to how De Bruyne was kind of known to be petulant and difficult to be around when he was younger.

If that is the case I could see us taking a chance on him if that is the case, we can shape a young man like that. If he is a lazy **** with a questionable life outside of football we will stay away. But considering Romano says we are interested we obviously are

Not so much telling players they must leave but they should...

The club has meetings today and tomorrow with the playing staff.

The World Cup is our big piece of leverage. This is why Pep said it could be difficult because we have players under contract, which ultimately offers all the protection to the player.

Stones
Eddie
Ortega
Gundo
Ake
Bernardo
Gundo
Grealish
McAtee
Walker
Phillips
Nunes.

All can find new clubs if they are open to offers.

There will be number of pay-offs and fee cutting.

I think we need to be prepared for more than people think, although I can't call if those with 12 months left, like Bernie, Stones, Jack, Gundo, Ortega and Eddie will just sit tight.

They won't play and that's where they have a decision to make.

It's another reason why Soriano and Txiki delivered the bad news to KDB. Pep just doesn't have the heart to tell people they aren't wanted anymore after he did it with Sergio.

Bernardo is the only one I'd 100% keep.

However, some of those deserve a massive send off if they are sold. Maybe the club can put a friendly on at the Etihad for them.

If pep got cherki working hard then pep will get a statue in every corner. Cherkis talent with a mad man's mentality would grant us a bonafide superstar for a decade but I just don't see that happening. He'll revert a lot and would be a bit part player who will still be good but not elite and pep will eventually get annoyed at him.

Seems like Nasri in that regard. Always left you wanting more.

All about opinions. I think Doku has been one of our few highlights this season and was crucial in the last few months.

He needs more than Haaland hanging out of the six yard box for a pull back.

City need midfielders arriving into the box and we are going to get them.

I initially really liked Savinho, his ball manipulation is fantastic, but his work ethic in games when covering his full-back has been an utter disgrace.

His performance away at Spurs and also at Wembley had team-mates screaming at him.

I expect Doku and Savinho to come very good.
I find it really interesting the different takes on Doku. I just don’t see it, he winds me up. I’m not sure we’ve had a player divide opinion like him since Navas.

My take is simply you can’t coach him ball manipulation, like I said he has zero finesse when it matters in the final 3rd. This is proven as every time he plays on the right it’s a painful watch. Never the case with other past right footers sterling & Jesus. Granted, he’s not had David Silva or prime De Bruyne working one twos with him consistently but some of his passing is frighteningly bad, you wonder what he sees.

I’m going to stick with my opinion that he will be gone in 12 months and that we need a top winger in this window.

Savio, I agree, was showing real promise up until Xmas but has gone backwards.

I'm off to Costco soon. Hurry up, City!
There might be a few bargains in the aisles, but it's mostly overpriced tat.
I like the free food samples though, if I'm feeling a bit naughty I go around a 2nd time.

I completely agree on this, I’m at the point that I’m not even excited when doku beats a man as I have no belief he’s picking the right ball.

However I’m happy to give him another season, maybe less injuries and a couple of box crashing midfielders might kick him on!

Every winger divides opinion.
Doku, Savinho and Grealish ALL divide opinion.
We are really hard on them.
We expect them to be creative but not to lose the ball.
We expect them to have pace and to beat a man but to maintain control.
We expect them to be hitting the by-line but to support the full-back in defense.
We expect them to constantly find the single attacker in a defensive ten-man wall.

Doku and Savinho are two of the best young wingers in the game but are constantly derided on here.

Perfectly reasonable take.
