If we are keeping Echeverri and Reis, plus bringing in 2 maybe 3 non homegrown Reijnders, and 2 full back plus Gibbs White,and getting the main squad not including club trained U 21s down to 20/21,then probably at least 5 or 6 need to go. I’d guess 5 or 6 from this group most likely. Plus McAtee, Walker Phillips. Which ones we can move other than KDB ,not a clue.

I think grealish, kdb and 1 of kova/gundo/bernardo are absolutely gone, with potentially 2 going. Reis is loaned for sure. Then echeverri and nunes are toss ups for me. I want to keep nunes but they may look at him as a more moveable asset and expendable than say akanji. Stones really should be moved on too but if we only sign 1 association trained player they might just keep Stones around.

They may play a similar position. But once you check their attributes, you'd see they play it differently.

Nouri is far more like the prototype.

Fullback and Winger doing the same role, easy to see the contrast.

Hato at Ajax already has 9,000 minutes of first-team football and has only just turned 19. That’s Gvardiol level of development and he’d cost considerably less than Ait-Nouri.

Hato has basically taken Ake's place in the national side already, and his versatility is greater than the players linked in the EPL.

Yeah, I know we’re stacked there, but I’m referring to potentially losing homegrown centre-backs like Stones and Aké, and replacing them with someone like Guehi, as Gaz suggested — to help balance the homegrown quota.

Dutch league is weak as have to see how he copes first. Josep much bigger profile ar 21

Think he's really good going forward but defensively a little suspect. I think he's perfect for a wingback signing but if we are insisting on 4 at the back again next season, maybe there are better options.

I always wonder with City if 3-5-2 would be ideal going forward. Ait Nouri on the left, Nunes (or this Wesley we are linked to) on the right putting in crosses for Erling. At least it would mean cutting our wasteful wingers. Think it's worth a try in pre season.

At 21, maybe, but Hato is still only 19 and the perfect foil for Gvardiol.
