It's Quiet the £250m return

Absolute load of tosh

Is it?

I wouldn't sign for a club with over a hundred charges hanging over it if I had my pick of similar level clubs.

If you were choosing a new job in general, something like that hanging over one of the companies would definitely put applicants off, especially if positions would be at risk in a worst case scenario.

You can easily have a release clause added to the contract

That why you're not a professional footballer. Also, there are not many clubs of a similar level.

Right now, if there's a chance of singing for City, Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Liverpool, Arsenal then there are going to be players choosing those clubs over City and one of the reasons City will be discounted will be because of the charges. It's just human nature to be put off by such a black mark.

With Rice & Wirtz, I wouldn't even be surprised if Arsenal & Liverpool reps were telling the players how City would be punished and how this could impact their career and reputation.

It's not a coincidence how we seem to have fallen off with our transfers since the charges were announced.

And I'd be concerned about going to Barcelona because financially they're still in the shit. And I'd be concerned about going to Arsenal because they're bottlers.
The second paragraph looks like it's been composed by a five year old

Totally agree with Barca. Unfortunately Arsenal aren't too far off winning the league now with the right additions.

Ultimately, most people wouldn't start a relationship with someone charged with murder, or charged with being friends with yourself, even if they said they were innocent.

The charges were, in my view, designed to handcuff us in that way.

You can't compare our situation to dating someone accused of murder, or even finding a regular job.

Their contracts have all sorts of clauses to de-risk situations. There are so many other factors that would persuade or dissuade a player to sign before the charges even entered their mind. Wages, bonuses, location, chance of success, game time, manager, other players at the club etc.

If I was Cunha I would be concerned about signing for the rags. They're shit. But when he sees the wages they're offering he doesn't give a fuck, especially with a relegation clause in his contract.

Don't know why people think this view is so unreasonable, i don't necessarily believe it but you cant rule it out. The reason we've signed Haaland up for 10 years was an attempt to assure future targets that we are sound IMO which would mean City themselves have considered how it looks.

Was it, who in the club told you that?

Said we want both Cherki and Reijnders, I wonder if we had everything agreed with Gibbs white but the fee Forest is asking for is too big. No mention of Gibbs White by Fabrizio today

I reckon we get all three and Cherki is the inside forward if we have overlapping fullbacks. He will be replacing Jacks position also MGW will replace his Homegrown spot in the team.

Cherki and Reindeer yes MGW definitely no, not even for £30mill

Was more a comparison to having a noose around the neck than a comparison of charges.

It's not a case of just having clauses - which most players don't. Player's are putting their reputations on the line and uprooting their families in the hope of being settled. There's a much greater risk on signing for a club with over 100 charges than there is a club without them.

I'd be concerned about going to Barcelona because they are having financial difficulties. Additionally, I'd be concerned about going to Arsenal because they lack the fortitude to win the league.

I thought I'd help you out, mate. I suspect you would not want someone accusing you of the pot calling the kettle black.

Guilty or innocent they are sullying our name/damaging our brand and as you say potentially affecting top level recruitment. If we are cleared the compensation should be gazillions
