Red Cafe in meltdown

Like Antony at Real Betis.

Maybe there is a good player in there, but in Antony's case, he was too lightweight for the PL. You can have all the tricks and spins in the world, but when you can be brushed off the ball by someone bigger and stronger, then you are always in a men against boys scenario. I always felt that about Jesus Navas. When he was running with the wind in his sails, he had it all, but in a scrap or up against someone man marking him, he was on the floor most of the time. You have to be a physical specimen to survive the PL.
Like Merlin?

He didn't say that. He was asked if he could ever see a time when City were favourites going into a Manchester derby and replied "not in my lifetime."

Not seen it reported much but they lost a post season friendly today in Malaysia and fielded a strong team.

They lost to the ASEAN all stars (one or two players from each South East Asian country) so a team that have never played together before that would struggle to communicate, still managed to beat United 1-0.

A lad from Burma scored the winner. They also had a Malaysian player called Sergio Aguero.

Tbf, Ferguson said the same when we won the title one year and some pundits were saying we were lucky. Pellegrini year??
All play all, home and away; nothing else comes close.
This is why if somehow this beautiful symmetry is wrecked because some clubs play regular season matches abroad or some monstrously stupid money-grabbing shite I volunteer as a Yank to do whatever required to halt such a travesty. I will shave my head, get pissed on Carling, wear zebra pants and invade fucking Loandepot.com Stadium or wherever the fuck and refuse to move from the center (centre) spot until the match is called off -- stop it by any means necessary. No Yank sport has such balance any longer and our leagues are all the worse for it, plus we have "playoffs". The Prem season structure is perfect as is.

It will be a MBA study case for decades. I hate the cunts and would actively seek to destroy them if I'd have been put in charge after the piss can left, but I'm not sure I could have delivered the current levels of hilarity and shitness.
Still think we are paying Berada sometimes.
Sshhhhhhhhhh!! Keep it quiet !!

Anthony is in a long list of hilarious Man United disastrous transfers. Pogba, Sanchez, Maguire. It has got to the point now that big stars don’t want to have their career sabotaged there and they have run out of money. The downward death spiral they are on is comedy gold particularly when contrasted with our success.
Di Maria was another one, and Veron. Di Maria cost them £60M in 2014 and Veron £28M some 14 years earlier before the transfer market went properly mental.

Not an enjoyable place to be I imagine. At least Antony would be set for life unlike many at the club.

Shit on the field and the atmosphere/culture around the place must be so negative with staff fearing for their jobs. Probably dread going into work every day.
Chemical Jim has got a remedy for that...

I thought I was hearing things when I saw the press conference & introduced Sergio Aguero…..

Seems he is an Argie.

Veron was an interesting one. It was during the Fergie era and was an attempt to address a lack of possession during European games. It failed so he him sold on for the same fee. So, it wasn’t an example of wasting money but it was an example of Ferguson’s limitations, he lacked the sophistication to adapt his team’s game, hence the lack of success in Europe during a prolonged period competing in the top competition and cultivating in the disastrous finals in 2009 and 2011 against Pep.

What… kick long and run (avoiding offsides…), and being allowed to play well past extra extra time…. Surely that’s the workings of a Neanderthal tactical thug genius

Well put, the media never address the limitations of Fergie’s tactics because of the prolonged domestic success, fear of the manager and pampering to mindless rag masses. To be fair he knew how to motivate a team but I have to laugh when Pep and Ferguson are compared and the latter is elevated higher.

They were gifted at least 9-12 points this season. Either by the officials or by teams absolutely falling to pieces in the final 10 minutes of the game.

The amount of lucky, scruffy goals they got as well won't happen again.

Luck has been their best player this year. Just hope it fucks off for them next season.
I hope that they get all the luck in the world next season.........

..........all BAD!
Lol.
