I feel you. I'm 6'3 and feel short around lots of my young nephews. 6'8, 6'5, 6'7... Granted they are more into basketball. But i miss the period when i was always one of the tallest guys at family functions.

Now i have all thede giants walking around. And i keep having to explain to them that i was them in my generation :)


Oh, I too like my keepers really tall. If I'm taller than you, you are probably not my cup of tea as a keeper.

Why would Garcia be a back up? Like why would he come as a 2nd keeper when he can start for Newcastle. We are too arrogant I guess

Firstly It just really rattles me on here when people
say a player like Ederson isn’t good enough when we’ve won the lot with him and he was crucial to it all. I know you haven’t said he’s not good enough.

It’s just always the wording that gets me. “He’s not as good as Ederson”.
Eddie is in the argument as our best ever keeper and the success we’ve had with him in goal is unprecedented. I’m happy with being successful going forward but not as successful as it may not be realistic.

Something about criticising players coming in for not being as good as players you could argue are the best we’ve had in that position. It’s just a pointless argument. This is mainly an issue for me because multiple posters saying so and so isn’t good enough to replace KDB. No one is. Get over it and move on.

My dad is 6'4". I topped out at 6'. He was 6' tall when he was twelve. I blame my mother. :)

It's difficult being a short GK. You need to be extra athletic, able to leap and organise your defence exceptionally well. Even then, you will often times face bias against you.

Shay Given was good but with an extra 3 inches and he would have been so much better

The reason why edersons name is coming up is because we all presume he wants to leave . As for his skills tbh I’d rather have a great shot stopper than a great ball distributor but that’s my opinion but if he stays then good .
