Israel is very weird.
I remember reading about the German club Monchengladbach going to Israel for a friendly game in the 70s.
The players were treated as heroes by the Israelis and warmly welcomed. Gunter Netzer said he couldn't believe it.
Obviously these players had absolutely nothing to do with 1933-45 but you wouldn't expect such a welcome.

So all the Ewige Jude type propaganda portraying Jews as subhuman was just a tactic to win support for mass murder not what they actually believed.
The Nazis also believed that if they didn't do what they did to the Jews the Jews would do it to them.

Surely a country that's been invaded is entitled to have an armed force to defend itself.

Of course it does but currently wouldn’t it be better to hand the hostages over as defending yourself against a vastly superior force without the backing of Europe or America as in Ukraine seems not a very bright idea.

There seems an utter desperation to call the Israeli actions genocide, presumably so that you can try to negate the holocaust defence? It's war, war is about killing people is it not? People die, lots of innocent people die, lots of women and children die. Lots of people get damaged for life. The 'winning' side usually kill more than the 'losing' side.That is what war is, killing. Death, death, death, kill, kill, kill, suffer, suffer, suffer. Are there people on the Israeli side who would eradicate every single Palestinian? Yes. Are there people on the Palestinian side who would eradicate every Jew. Yes. Both sides need to stop this nonsense. Are Hamas any better than Netanyahu? Would Israelis be sleeping safely in their beds if they did not have military superiority and the Palestinians had the much superior fire power? The only way forward is for BOTH sides to accept responsibility for their reprehensible views and behaviour and negotiate. The Israelis and Palestinians should both renounce violence as a means of settling this dispute and sit down and negotiate and keep sat down until a solution is met.

On this genocide nonsense. In 1945 the allies bombed Dresden, a city insignificent for the most part strategically, over 3 days they/we killed 25,000 Germans, including women and children. Think about that, that's 25,000 in THREE days of bombing with 1945 bombs. The Israelies have far greater fire power than the Allies did in 1945 but have somehow 'only' killed 55,000 in over a year and half of bombing.

If one group of people would be ashamed of what is going on in Gaza you’d expect it to be the Jewish nation after what happened to them in WW2 yet they seem to be welcoming it.

A ceasfire. They are the only conditions under which hostages get released, as has been proven. It's not difficult. You even alluded to it in your own post.

It’s on Sky news tonight all we’ve taken in is two injured children when there are scores of babies burned. The injuries are horrific and still we do nothing only watch. I’m losing patience with this Labour government there is so much more that could be done.
