It's Quiet the £250m return

The club can still cancel the control both ways and let him go for free. The club didn’t extend it by themselves it was an option in his contract the moment he reached a certain amount of games
Still a clause in his contract where it triggers an automatic renewal for another season. We can't renege on that.

Is it an option or an obligation, do we know?

Yeah I know. I am just saying that if he wants to leave. The club and also him can come to the conclusion to cancel it. It’s not like the club would’ve extended his contract without it would they?

It’s an obligation

Thats a lot of transfers to tie up in the next two weeks....even if its 4-5 players in - thats still quite quick

Reinjders - almost seems nailed on - seems a good player
Then we supposedly are in for:
Alt Nouri - good player
Cherki - besides Ramano tweeting away is there anything else concrete? - looks a bit of a Maverick but I think we need that type of player...for some reason he reminds me of a little bit of Tevez - he seems quite aggressive and direct in the way he was...clearly wont be as good as Tevez but still a very good player.
MGW - rumours gone very quiet on him

And possibly a goalkeeper as well?

They would like to take get it done, doubt it will all be done bar one or two.

Don't know what would be in it for Gundo to take a huge cut in pay and more minutes when he looks like he might get the actual season next year he thought he was signing on to which was cup games, coming on to slow a game down, and working in a quasi coaching role with a bunch of younger, hungry midfielders.

Is that what he wants though?

If Pep has told him were bringing in several midfielders, Rodri is back etc etc and your barely on the bench for 1st round carabao he mightn't fancy it.

We might assume that's what Gündy was signed for, but we'll never really know. He was a mainstay for Barça the previous season. I suspect that he feels he can still be a regular, whether at City or elsewhere. For someone who lost significant time in their career to injury, there's a chance that if he's feeling good he'll want to play as much as possible

Yeah, you're right, I have no clue what he wants. I'm projecting too much. If he thinks he's got one or two more years in him at a slower pace and is happy with how much money he has earned and that he has the rest of his life for coaching then all the power to him.

If we spend £80m on him I’ll stand on my head. We can’t have walked away from the Wirtz deal because of value for money and then spend £80m on Livramento

I believe what we will get from him is worth it, and probably why we pulled out the Wirts deal. Looking back at how we announced why we pulled out, there probably was some truth in it!
