Red Cafe in meltdown

Not seen it reported much but they lost a post season friendly today in Malaysia and fielded a strong team.

They lost to the ASEAN all stars (one or two players from each South East Asian country) so a team that have never played together before that would struggle to communicate, still managed to beat United 1-0.

A lad from Burma scored the winner. They also had a Malaysian player called Sergio Aguero.

Apparently scruffy jim got all excited about one of their players, ker ching

Berada says they have a plan. My bet is that Sir Jim and his Ineos operatives interfere with football matters. I suspect their expensively recruited DoF went for that reason. Judging by their other sporting ventures, Ineos will mess it up.

They were booed off according to the Beeb. Tickets were £250.

being able to foul with impunity and not have a penalty given against helped as well
I still recall the (so called) TV football experts laughing every times the ginger pig launched a two footed tackle which was never seen by the ref, the laughing excuse was always "a great player but cannot tackle".

This is why if somehow this beautiful symmetry is wrecked because some clubs play regular season matches abroad or some monstrously stupid money-grabbing shite I volunteer as a Yank to do whatever required to halt such a travesty. I will shave my head, get pissed on Carling, wear zebra pants and invade fucking Loandepot.com Stadium or wherever the fuck and refuse to move from the center (centre) spot until the match is called off -- stop it by any means necessary. No Yank sport has such balance any longer and our leagues are all the worse for it, plus we have "playoffs". The Prem season structure is perfect as is.
Get pissed on Carling ! You'd better start supping now ,it may take a while

Di Maria was another one, and Veron. Di Maria cost them £60M in 2014 and Veron £28M some 14 years earlier before the transfer market went properly mental.
Veron was part of that cohort of ‘strange’ signings Taggart made around the turn of the century. Never looked the part in England.

Actually saw him in a game in Argentina, in about 2006, for Estudiantes. Just looked it up and he was on loan from Chelsea, which became permanent shortly afterwards. He actually bossed the midfield until he got sent off, but it was a lower standard than England and Italy.

There were definitely some odd signings around that time. Absolutely reeks of brown envelopes.

Veron was an interesting one. It was during the Fergie era and was an attempt to address a lack of possession during European games. It failed so he him sold on for the same fee. So, it wasn’t an example of wasting money but it was an example of Ferguson’s limitations, he lacked the sophistication to adapt his team’s game, hence the lack of success in Europe during a prolonged period competing in the top competition and cultivating in the disastrous finals in 2009 and 2011 against Pep.
He was sold to Chelsea for half the fee he was purchased for mate.

Well put, the media never address the limitations of Fergie’s tactics because of the prolonged domestic success, fear of the manager and pampering to mindless rag masses. To be fair he knew how to motivate a team but I have to laugh when Pep and Ferguson are compared and the latter is elevated higher.
Motivation…..he was a govan bully

I thought he was going yo be a great success, delighted with how it went.

Bring Scholes and "Giggsy" out of retirement again???

As much as it gladdens me to see that disgusting excuse for a football club suffer the way they are, I still don't understand why the Pisscan appears to be beyond reproach for his part in their long-anticipated demise.
He shafted the club over the Rock of Gibralter business, he made the club pay well over the odds for the likes of Djemba-Djemba, Veron, Bebe and countless others. He made all new players sign with his own son's sports agency, thus ensuring his son's percentage of any and all transfers would make him a multi-millionaire, and when his other son was justifiably dismissed as manager of Preston North End he (the Pisscan) removed any and all rag players that were currently on loan to Preston, who were fighting relegation at that point in the season, and 'persuaded' some of his lackeys, in particular Tony Pulis, to also remove any players their respective clubs may have on loan at the club, depriving the first team a total of between 6-7 important players, thereby condemning P.N.E. to relegation that season.

There are many other stories about the nasty, deceitful and treacherous way the poisonous pisscan has fucked over the club that once idolised him, but we never get to hear any of them.

Maybe the media are waiting until it's jelly and ice-cream time before opening Pandora's box and revealing to the world just what a spiteful, vindictive, despot this Glaswegian tyrant really was?

As far as your last paragraph goes, I wouldn’t hold your breath mate.
