rag on our Whatsapp group reckons they'll get "at least" £120 million for the ratfaced one.

They'll be lucky to get half of that.
I think it might depend on how much scruffy Jim gives his Saudi mate to give back to the rags...thereby affecting the current rules in a positive way for them...

I think some of their fans genuinely believed they’d get £100-150m for him, but no one was ever going to pay that. £80m is actually a good price given his age, but as he’s their best player by some distance they’ll find it hard to replace him.
Agree with that. And to me the key is replacing him as he is there only remotely consistent player.

With him gone they need a decent creative midfield who will hit the ground running in the prem (not to mention the toxic atmosphere and weight of expectation).

Stats wise in the pl for assists: Fernandes 8, Garncho 4, Dalot 3. Goals he was top scorer with 10 joint with Hojlund. So he's involved in 20 goals and they only scored 57. It's not easy to replace that.

Doesn’t really matter if they get £120m for him, he is their best player by a distance, especially in goal terms (creating and scoring) and they aren’t going to sign someone who’ll get 30-40 goals and assists a season, take all the set pieces and pens and crucially - plays virtually every single game.

They’ll be very pleased to hear about this in Burnley, Sheffield and Leeds.
I'm sure Anthony Taylor can fill in

You underestimate the power of Ballon d,Or winner Mason Mount

Great headline from the DT

The myth of Man Utd’s support in Asia is crumbling

And their fans genuinely can't believe that we bring in more revenue than them now. They have this delusional belief that they'll always be the biggest club regardless of on-field performances. And the funny thing is, so did the board for so long.

"the club is effectively a heritage brand that markets itself on the basis of nostalgia"

kind of sums it all up :-)
When we lived in Malaysia last year, my wife got a new debit card from Maybank and it had Man Utd on it (should have divorced her for that alone). Tellingly, there wasn't a single player on it from the last 15 years. Wayne Rooney was the most recent.

There are rumours from the Naples football media that Utd are trying to swap Hojlund for Osimhen. I couldn't believe it at first but if you google it you will find that the Italian media reported that a Utd official met Naples management on the 27th May.

Utd seem to be following deals that they have little chance of doing and wasting time. Delap went to Chelsea. They must have known that Chelsea were in for him too.

Is trump doing the deals....?

I mentioned on here that Bruno has carried Man Utd for years now, without him they have nothing.
