That Sane winner, Stones goal line clearance match the absolute pinnacle of the game in the UK for me, not sure I’ve ever seen 2 teams play at as high a level in this country.

Not sure what input the other Pep would have had in that scouse operation, but if it pisses off the feral fanbase, I’m all for it.

It's the best game of football ever played on English soil. Measure it on tactics, intensity, aggression, passion, bravery and I can't think of a single game at any level that gets close. We clearly feel better about it than they do but it was knife edge stuff and everyone involved was working at the very outer edges of their skill and talent.
