It's Quiet the £250m return

Honestly, I absolutely can’t stand them. Imagine being that mad at an assistant manager getting a job somewhere else? If Juanma Lillo went to the swamp or the bin dippers, I couldn’t care less. A lot of them need genuine help or a hobby, it’s really really weird
He also left Liverpool a year ago. I don't think there is a group of fans quite like theirs, and not in a good way.

It absolutely is having an effect on our transfer business.
It would be easy for the agent to sow seeds of doubt is they find a better cut from another offer.
Look at who we've ended up signing .
An agent can do that without any charges against us

The agent getting a better cut as you put it is the factor

Haaland signed a 10 year deal despite the 115

He could go anywhere he wanted if it so bad as people make out

Typical hysterical hyperbolic reaction for the internet!

If you don’t think Chelsea are on the up, you’ve not been watching their season.
Context matters.

And Typical hysterical hyperbolic reaction for the internet - was exactly what your previous post was.

Not sure what the trenches have to do with anything, but you do you.

The point I was trying to make was to pick up words from the previous poster, which is why my post started with “You said a mouthful there!”

As for your thoughts on my vision, it looks like two full backs and the KDB replacement we wanted are ALL going to Liverpool, and Chelsea just won a Euro pot and made the CL next season with the youngest team in the PL and a Pep acolyte as their coach.

One club is the PL champions and the other is a club with deep pockets that operates in the nicest part of The Big Smoke…which is not to be sniffed at.

Now, wtf were you saying about trenches? Are we at war??!!

So you'd pick a team that chop and change manager every year, because they have a young squad of 40 players and won the lowest tier European competition over coming to City because Pep only has two years left?

Well that makes sense.

Why do you bother?

Sometimes an argument is so flawed from the start that there is no point having it.

If people need explaining why City are a draw for players, give up.

One thing worth keeping in mind

We are currently at our squad limit of 17+4.

Excluding Foden, Bobb, McAtee, O'Reilly. And also Echeverri.

Excluding on loan players. And Kev.

People do need to leave. If any of the HG players leave (Grealish, Stones, Carson, Ake) they can only be replaced by hg/ct players, but that doesn't change the limit of 17, some still need to leave from that category if new nhg players are to come.

It's the outgoings that I would imagine proves the biggest challenge

Seems the club world cup squads can include up to 35 players.

So we can add Jerky and Raindeers and a few more ahead of that. But at least 2 or however many get added will have to leave permanently or on loan or be omitted from the CL by the end of the window.

That's a 17+4 (plus the 4 HG) registered squad, with the emphasis on registered. Not that I expect any player would stay who knows they're not going to be registered. No summer holidays for the transfer team this year for sure.

Viana in his time at Sporting sorts incomings out first to secure targets and then deals with outgoings.

I said nothing different.

Doesn’t matter what formation he likes pep will have final say anyway .
It most absolutely does matter what he likes, and his say will have great weight behind it in the tactics room.
He's number two at the best team in the world and, as such, his employment success will greatly depend on his ability to innovate, communicate, and implement his and the big fellas ideas to the group.

I've said this a while ago during the season. My money is on Gundogan. Maybe Reis out on loan. Bernie one to watch. Grealish or Stones leaving reduces the suad but doesn't free up space for NHG players.

I think the club want to do 3. An 8, a 10 and a full back. Including in the incomings will be 1 hg player. From reading reports and trying to make sense of them it appears the club have pivoted from mgw to cherki.

It also appears livramento is the full back target (and will be the hg choice)

For incomings I see
Rudolph
Cherki
Livramento
Potentially Costa obviously depends on ederson

And I think that will be it.

Outgoings I see are
Grealish (as part of the livramento deal maybe)
One of Gundo or Bernardo
mcatee
Walker
Phillips (loan)
And maybe nunes (which I hope doesn’t happen but we need one more space so some would have to leave)
Reis loan
Echerveri loan

As you point out we are right at the limit in terms of squad numbers. The talk of 5/6/7 players is fantasy imo. We just don’t have the space nor the players who will be moved on.

Pep also added the squad is already too big! So I really don’t see many more than 4 (if ederson was to leave)
