F1 2025 Season

No but most Monaco races are done and dusted by the end of lap 1. At least we've had something else to think about throughout. Not going to pretend it's been brilliant I'm not that naive but at least they tried something different!

Yeah I’m with you mate.

It was/is a perfectly good idea and if they insist on keeping this shite circuit on the calendar I’m not against keeping the two stop thing next season.

If it were up to me they’d make it an exhibition race with no points awarded. Get all the drivers to race classic versions of their team’s cars and give a load of money to charity or something

Always thought they could get rid of the chicane at the swimming pool, there is a run off area which means the track width could be doubled and the following left hander made sharper for potential over taking.

I suppose they don’t want cars hitting 200 mph around that track with water to the left of them; but it looks like the only place they could add an overtaking spot.

Just seen Max’s post race interview saying the only way to fix Monaco is to make it like Mario cart and throw bananas out of the car hahaha

I don’t like him but that was funny
It was a good line.

Sadly Monaco is protected. Can't they even look at changing the circuit to make it into less of a procession?

Didn’t know that, heard an interview where they refused to say who were the main protagonists.
Zak Brown hasn't been very cryptic when asked about it.

He's full on trolling RB at the moment. Even with the 1-2 McClaren have had today.

The new rules haven't hindered the team. It looks like it's helped strengthen.

The whole "Karen Horner" thing does puzzle me, I have to admit. To those that use that dig, I'll ask one question; do you honestly think Toto Wolff, or Zak Brown, or Fred Vasseur, or Andrea Stella would be any different if they were in Horner's shoes? Of course not; they're all ruthless men (they have to be, given their positions), and I have no doubt that they'd all do whatever it takes, however iffy, to gain an advantage in a highly competitive sport. And Wolff hasn't been shy about channeling his inner Karen from time to time. But, I guess Red Bull, Horner and Verstappen have been public enemies numbers 1, 2 and 3 on here since the 2021 season.

And in answer to the obvious question; no, I don't particularly have a horse in the race. Though I think it'd be good for the sport to see a "new" face clinch the title. Norris, Piastri, Russell or LeClerc (though those last two are a long way behind) would be, for me, a welcome champion.

Phenomenal lap from Piastri. What a lap.

Lando is my guy but as long as McLaren do the business I’m happy.

Hope they can keep max behind them on the start and have a clean race tomorrow.

I've been watching F1 for 50 years, and I love Monaco, if only for the tradition and all the history.
But it is a procession, a relic of the past.
I'd hate to see it off the calendar, your suggestion is a great idea. Would make a great mid season break.

I'm glad someone has finally broken ranks on this! I always thought it was me being too nice and trying to overly give people the benefit of the doubt but genuinely, in all the hours of footage of him being interviewed in Drive to Survive or at the track or in interviews I don't think he's ever said anything I couldn't at least see his viewpoint on.
Although as I've said multiple times on here previously, I am a Williams fan so it perhaps helps that I've not really had a dog in the Championship race for a while!!
